PROM HAIR TIP OF THE DAY: When you plan on your hair and makeup, it is important to not only leave enough time to get them both done but once they are done you need to leave them alone. If they look great, don't try to fix it. You're probably going to be fretting over every detail of your prom look but hair and makeup need to be left alone as much as possible once they are set. Touch-ups every now and there are recommended of course, but in general if you like the look it is best to leave it.

I will never go anywhere else, they are terrific!. I am absolutely in love with Calla Lily! The women that work there are terrific. I just used there on site bridal services for my wedding on 11-11-11 and Emma, Tonya and Courtney did a fabulous job on my bridal parties hair and make up. They arrived on time, set up quickly and were very friendly and professional. Four of us got our make up done by Emma and everyone was very happy with the turn out. Tonya and Courtney handled hair and we all looked beautiful. I would highly recommend Calla Lily for your next event. A+++++

Wonderful Salon experience!!. Tonya and the rest of the salon opened up for me and my bridal party at 7am on a Sunday morning. Not only were they willing to give up rest and relaxation, but they performed amazingly. They were cheery, happy, comforting, understanding, talented.. I could go on and on. When we were crunched for time (11 hair styles and 8 people getting make up done in 3 hours!!) they really stepped up and got the job done. Not only was I thrilled with the result, I was also happy to see the hair and makeup lasted through the day. The women of the Calla Lily Salon really put the beauty in my wonderful wedding day! I live in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, but I know I will be making many more trips to Aurora to visit these lovely ladies and relive our wonderful experience!!

The best kept secret of Aurora!!. I cannot begin to say how pleased I was with my visit to the Calla Lily.

I had a hair emergency of bleach blond gone wrong. After calling the salon, in hysterical tears, I was calmed, and reassured that it would be no problem to fix, and they would fit me in right away.

Upon arriving at the salon, I was greeted, as it felt, by friends. Everyone was so helpful and compassionate - I felt like I was with my best girlfriends, and they were helping me through a crisis.

Immediately, I was asked what I did not like and what I wanted to fix, and given many options. Ultimately, reassured of what was going to take place, I was worked on by not only one colorist, but two - and given such star treatment; so much assistance, reassurance, and best of all, a nice glass of wine to calm my nerves.

My hair turned out beautifully, and I could not have thanked the girls enough for their knowledge and expertise. I felt no sales pitches of product, just helpful hints as to what was best for my situation.

I have already made a follow up appointment in a week, and will be continuing many more appointments in the future.

Thank you Calla Lily, for your amazing service!! Anyone who happens upon this salon will be nothing but pleased with the quaint, charming atmosphere the Calla Lily has to offer.

LOVED IT!!. Got my hair done here for my sisters wedding. I have a ton of hair, very thick, and hard to style. The girl listened to me for what works for my hair and understood the meaning of "There can't be too much hair spray!" Considering my hair is VERY long and I had curls everywhere, I needed the spray. My hair held all night, was very pretty, and I was sooo happy with the salon. I will definately go back and recommend it to everyone. Im ALWAYS nervous when I get my hair done because it always falls, but I will never be nervous again.

No other Salon will do!!!!. Calla Lily Salon & Day Spa is the only place I will go to get my hair done. Coming from a "perfectionist" that is saying something. All the ladies are wonderful. They are very attentive and caring. They are great with all their customers from my husband and daughter who are very particular about their hair and how it's cut to me who lets them cut and color in any style they want. They offer you a beverage while you are there and make sure you are well taken care of. They take the time to get to know about their clients and it shows.

The building is older and charming but perfectly clean and cozy. If this isn't your "style", try Oakbrook. I'm sure you'll find a perfectly snooty salon to take your money. But if you want a cozy, friendly, have a cup of coffee with girls salon, then the Calla Lily is the perfect place to go.

BAD REVIEWS ARE RUBBISH. From the minute you drive up to this adorable salon you are impressed. I've been coming here since it opened and would not consider ever going elsewhere. I get my nails done every two weeks, my hair done once a month, a pedicure once a month and my legs waxed. I also use their cosmetics and fabulous skin care products. The girls are well trained and really care for you as a person. The owner Tanya, is very professional and talented. I would and have recommended this full salon to friends.

Great place to go.... I recently visited Calla Lily, not knowing what to expect. It was recommended by a friend. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised. I made an appointment and waited maybe 5 minutes before I got my cut (place was packed.) Diana was courteous and knew exactly what I wanted, even when I couldn't explain- she cared about what I wanted. I could tell that they really take care of their clientele. Listening to the conversations, they pride themselves in making relationships. I'll definitely be back.

Kept me sane on my wedding day!. My bridal party and I went to the Calla Lily after it was recommended to us by Wolsfelt's (the bridal shop next door) and they were awesome. They had mimosas and fruit waiting for us, which made the bridesmaids happy. They were really accommodating with one girl being late and girls deciding to add having their makeup done as well. We all looked so beautiful and I could not have been happier with my hair and makeup. Michelle did my hair and Colleen did my makeup--she made my eyes look so unbelievable with eyelash extensions. Overall, I LOVED IT and think the girls are so friendly and talented.

I had a GREAT experience!. I recently visited the Calla LIly Salon & Day Spa to get my hair and makeup done for a wedding that I was a bridesmaid in. Right away I felt very at home and comfortable because the staff was so nice! They used their own line of makeup on me which ended up lasting me all day! I brought in a picture of how I wanted my hair and they did it exactly how I wanted it, infact, it was better than i expected! I would go back there for anything that I needed! It is the cutest shop with great employees!
