Great sundaes served with the NEW HORRIBLE SERVICE. This has got to be THEE place for ice cream and chocolate in Chicago. Baskin Robbins and Oberweis can't make a ice cream sundae like these guys. I've been going here whenever I get around downtown Chicago. NORMALLY I've had no trouble with the service (except for the cramped indoor seating area where everyone is literally on top of each other let alone with all their shopping bags). But on 2 recent visits this past summer, BOTH times I've experienced THEE WORST SERVICE EVER!!! The first time one of their employees (the one who looks Chinese, just saying) sloppily cleaned the table I was seated at, flinging the rag in my face and leaving the table wet and taking away my table number before my sundae arrived. The next visit in the same week, I waited 20 F'N MINUTES for my sundae to be made. That same employee saw me waiting and did NOTHING until AFTER I complained to the sundae maker I never got my order. Meanwhile, I watched as a person whom I assume was the manager "not manage" while he watched and laughed along with his staff as if they had nothing to do and act as if they were off the clock. What was their justification for their lateness, "Sorry, we couldn't find your order ticket". HELLO?!?! I'm just sitting there for 20 minutes with a number and you don't even bother to ask if I got my order yet??? What am I, a random bum off the street who just happens to have a table number??? NEVER BEFORE have I had such bad service. These guys better shape up or my next visit they' WILL hear it from me...

San Francisco legend serves up ice cream, milk shakes and sundaes to sweet tooths on the Mag Mile.. In Short
Visiting families, couples on dates, and Michigan Avenue shoppers line up at this ice cream parlor and sweets shop, whose walls are lined with tempting chocolate bars and candies. Menu favorites include the signature hot fudge sundae with vanilla ice cream, piping hot sauce and whipped cream. The Strike It Rich has vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, chopped almonds and whipped cream atop toasted almond ice cream with almond nuggets and butterscotch topping.

For Shake Lovers. I Admit The Prices Are A Bit High Here But I'm The Type Of Person That If Something Is Really Good I Will Pay The Price. This Is The Way I Feel About Their Chocolate Shakes, It's Rich And Very Chocolaty And It Is To Die For And I Don't Mind Paying The Price.

For the Chocolat Lover. In Chicago we actually had an ice cream lunch. The ice cream is very smooth and tastes homemade. The prices are a bit high for the ice cream concotions, but well worth it. If you are weight conscience or on a low carb diet I would recommend the water. It is a great place to people watch in the water tower area. Make sure you buy extra chocolates to go, it is a great reminder of your trip!
