In all honesty, even though I only live in Lakeview, until last week I hadn't had Garrett's in at least 8 months-- probably longer. With all of the Chicago locations you'd think I'd be able to swing by a little more often, but I just never find myself conveniently near one....

They are moving back onto Michigan Ave somewhere which not unlike the last store there, is probably going to be impossible to get into. I. Hate. Waiting. My solution?? Order the stuff online. It made so much more sense to have my mom's birthday tin delivered to my apt along with a half gallon of cheese/caramel corn for myself.

Problem solved. No lines, no going out-of-my -way and literally a ton of popcorn was waiting for me in my foyer when I get home from work. It's a thing of beauty, Garrett.

Garrett Popcorn makes the cold Chicago winters bearable. If you have never had it you need to check it out or go online and order some. The Chicago mix of Carmel and Cheese Corn is Addicting.

No trip to Chicago would be complete without a stop at Garrett's. I've never had a problem with customer service, although you are rushed along once you finally make your way to the front of the line. You have plenty of time while standing in line to decide what you want, so once you place your order, everything moves fast. It is by far the best popcorn I've ever tasted, especially the cramel pecan. Sadly, the Michigan Street store has closed recently, so we now go to the store on Randolph.

• Pros: Tastes heavenly
• Cons: Long lines, but worth the wait
