Best service!. The owner there is named Dave, and he's incredible. The Chips we ordered came out a little later than expected so we got a whole lb of BBQ brisket for free! what a guy, delicious stuff too. Highly recommend!
Finger lickin' good. The family and I come here when we're shopping at the mall and in the mood for BBQ. The service has been good, as is the food. The kids love the baby back ribs and the mess that comes with it. The negatives are the atmosphere and the seats in the booths. I find the seats uncomfortable and awkward to sit in. I like the place overall and will continue to visit when we're in the mood for BBQ.
Slow-smoked barbecue and down-home sides dished up in a roadhouse setting..
In Short
Famous Dave's recipes began as a hobby for Dave Anderson, who opened his first 'cue shack in Hayward, Wisc., in 1994. Now a national phenomenon, the restaurants cater to diners who dig into finger-licking-tasty meat. The menu features chopped pork, Texas brisket, baby back ribs and fire-kissed chicken slathered with signature sauces like vinegary Georgia Mustard. Entrees, some of which arrive atop a garbage can lid, come with corn on the cob, drunken apples, baked beans or slaw.
What was that?. For a place that touts its BBQ offerings, we were utterly disgusted. We called in an order for a slab of rib dinner and BBQ beef sandwich. This ran us just under $30. What we got were 11 individually cut pieces of rib that were too tough to eat and raw that looked like they were rolled sauce and still had the membrane attached. The sandwich was a good size but was nothing but large chucks of rib pieces-fat and all with a squirt of sauce on top. The french fries were good-that was all we were able to eat.
