I LOVE Basili's Salon

When a coworker came in with a great cut, I asked her where she went, she told me Basili's in Riverside. Thou it is a bit of a distance from my home, I made an appointment.

Not trusting many people with my hair (due to a few really bad cuts in the past) I was nervous when I went in. I was greeted by Bill the owner - what a nice man. I was immediately put to ease. He explained to me why my home processed color turned out the way it did and how he was going to correct it. As for my hair cut, when I told him about my coworkers hair and who cut it for her, I was then given to Matt to do my cut. I can not express how much fun I had getting a hair cut from Matt. He does WONDERFULL work. My hair turned out beautiful - exactly what I wanted. I have never left a salon looking forward to the next time I need a hair cut. Bill and Matt are a great team and I will keep going back.

BEST HAIRCUT AND COLOR

I HAD THE MOST RELAXING AND EXHILERATING EXPERIENCE AT BASILI'S. I WAS GREETED WHEN I WALKED IN THE DOOR AND OFFERED COFFEE. I WAS PROMPTLY CALLED TO BILL'S CHAIR. HE'S THE OWNER. AFTER A BRIEF CONVERSATION, HE WHIPPED UP SOME COLOR.....I RELAXED WHILE I WAITED FOR THE COLOR TO WORK. THEN I WAS WASHED AND BACK IN BILL'S CHAIR. OH MY GOD, OUT CAME THE SICCORS AND WALLAH!!!!! WHEN HE BLEW MY HAIR DRY IT WAS LIKE A MIRACLE. MY HAIR WAS BOUNCY AND WHEN I TWIRLED MY HEAD MY HAIR WAS STILL BEAUTIFUL. THEN HE SHOWED ME HOW TO GET IT THAT WAY MYSELF. I THINK I FOUND THE PLACE FOR ME FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. I HAVE BEEN TELLING EVERYONE ABOUT BASILI'S AND CAN'T WAIT TILL MY TOUCHUP. THANK YOU TO ALL THE EMPLOYEES AT BASILI'S.....BUT ESPECIALLY BILL.

Worst haircut and service.

I met a woman that had a great haircut, so I asked her where she went, she told me Basili's in Riverside, and said that the owner cut her hair. I went into the salon with my hair down past my chest and told the owner I wanted the ends razored and I wanted LONG layers, I even brought in a picture from a magazine which even described how the cut was done. He pulls out two razors, one for each hand and turns me away from the mirrors. Hair was flying. I wondered how he could possibly of known what he was cutting since his hands were moving so fast, well, he had no clue. I ended up with one side with a big chunk taken out just below my ear. I sat there in shock, even paid and tipped. I got home and looked into the mirror horrified, tried hair clips, but nothing could be done. I called back and complained and was told that I got what I asked for and that I can get a free haircut which is the only one I'm getting and that I have to pay extra for blowdrying. I came out with my long hair cut just above my shoulders. I would NEVER go back. Later at other salons I found out that others complained with simular horror stories.
