A real barber shop.
This barber shop is right at the Metra station. It looks just like any classic barber shop and unlike every hair salon. There are actually a pair of real barber's chairs. It's the kind of place I imagine a father taking his sons one Saturday of every month.
The owner, Angelo, was very friendly. He said that he'd been cutting hair in Riverside for 22 years. Instead of having to explain what I wanted done, he just said "I know what you want," explained, and started cutting my hair. When he finished, he was right. With no prompting from me, he did what almost no 'hair stylist' has ever been able to do- a proper cut.
It's refreshing to get a good haircut, for a good price (under $20), from someone who knows what he's doing. If you're sick and tired of cheap hair salons, having to tell someone to use a #2 on the sides, and having a different stylist and a different cut every month, then this place is for you. I plan on going back monthly.
Angelo offers shaves, haircuts, and hair styling.
