Rosebud on Rush

When it's warm, this patio of this Italian mainstay is jam-packed with people watchers who hail from near and far. Inside the cozy-but-boisterous brownstone, several dining rooms adorned with drapes, mirrors and rich wood paneling waft with the scent of garlic. Plump mussels in white wine sauce and pan-fried calamari with zippy cherry peppers start things off with a bang. Minestrone soup warms from the inside out. Homemade pappardelle is christened with full-bodied tomato sauce, while Chicken Vesuvio, studded with peas, receives a bracing blast of lemon. – – –

Nice outdoor dining/fast service

The seafood stew and calamari are amazing! The traditional spaghetti with shrimp was bland. The outdoor dinning is a great experience and the seating time was super fast!

Poor service

Having been lured in by the $5 lunch special, we just came back from our second visit hoping to enjoy the same experience as the first, only to be met with disappointment. With limited time for our lunch, we sat for an extended period of time with a basket of warm bread before finally being approached by our server. Our dissatisfaction was compounded by the fact that neighboring guests were instantly met with service. The host walked right by our table when asking other tables if they had enjoyed their lunch. On our last visit, we left our server a +50% tip; today little more than 20%. If we were to be treated as though we were cheap, we were sure not to disappoint.

Good Time

Loved my evening at Rosebud at Rush. Walking around with no particular plan, myself and five friends decided to give this place a try. The food was delicious and the waiter was fun and prompt. Will be going back

Look-out!!! Fun Time!!

A bunch of us went out and had a ball...Actually several balls each. Wow the meatballs here could choke a pig, and the salad really is not necessary. My sunday night rugby team were going to go for pizza, but saw the Rosebud sign and decided to try it. We were not disappointed. George treated us like royalty!!! We can't wait to go back
