Editorial Review for The Indian Garden Restaurant – by L. Russell
The Scene
Lunch hour office cliques and weary Mag Mile shoppers drift into this second-floor restaurant for a quick and inexpensive bite to eat. An inconspicuous entry makes the place easy to miss, but once inside, diners are treated to a spacious, quiet dining room and bar area. Broad windows overlooking Ontario Street illuminate a mauve interior, dotted with hanging plants and landscape paintings.
The Food
At this location, the spotlight's on the lunch buffet. Diners are welcomed with a plate of chicken tandoori and set loose on an array of traditional dishes, from samosas (fried potato dumplings) and chana masala (a tangy chick pea stew) to chicken curry and goat meat. Tender pulled chicken and mild spices make the curry a good bet for sensitive palates, while the more adventuresome can enjoy a sundry assortment of fiery plates from the full menu, from seafood to shish kabob.

It was a place with very good ambience and good service. The food reminded me of real indian dish. I've been there a couple of times before. We had a party on this place last month or so and it turned out to be excellent. The food was very great. I advice everyone to visit at least once to the Indian garden and try the food. The chicken 65 dish was very tasty.I'm visiting this place again.
Pros: Ambience, tasty food

This restaurant was recommended by the Manager at John Hancock tower and we are so pleased that I had to comeback and write something about it. The food is far far better than any other Indian restaurant I have visited in Chicago, and on top of that the Manager knows the food and explain to the fullest with a pleasant smile. I would recommend the restaurant to any one who wants to enjoy a delightful meal with a smile. Andrew
