In Short – For a restaurant in the heart of touristville, this tapas and wine bar feels very local. Casually dressed tourists and locals enjoy sangria and tapas alongside couples and locals with kids in tow. Gorgeous murals of the Spanish countryside and matadors pep up the space, which is divided into two eating areas and a cozy back bar. A menu of hot and cold tapas embraces spicy flavors like octopus with peppers marinated in a sherry vinaigrette, garlicky pork tenderloin medallions and chicken breast served with chorizo.
good food, so so service
by grassfedbeeffarmer
I visited on a Monday night. Trying to decide between two different red wines, my waiter brought tasting glasses to allow me to taste before choosing. Very nice! But the service after that was inconsistent, with my waiter not showing up to check on my needs to order the next plate - luckily other staff pitched in. The plates are wonderful, very well presented. The artichoke, serrano ham and cabrales cheese with mixed greens (Tarta de Alcachofas) was fabuous, drizzled with balsamic vinegar. However my grilled beef tenderloin was a bit charred on the outside, somewhat overwhelming the cracked peppers and sherry sauce. The Delicia de Tres Gustos terrine of white, bitter sweet and caramel mousse was not as flavorful as I would have expected.
Overall, I would go back to explore the menu more.
- Pros: ambience, wine list
- Cons: inconsistent cooking
The BEST Tapas!

This place is SO good! I visit Chicago every year for a week in November, and my friends and I eat there at least twice! The red sangria is delicious and a must-have dish is the baked goat cheese with garlic toast - absolutely to die for!! Do yourself a big favor and get over to Emilio's!
- Pros: Great food, atmosphere and service
- Cons: None!

Lots of interesting dishes to sample. Excellent wine list. I recommend the Veleta Trepenillo wine. Service was okay but the food was excellent. Very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.
- Pros: Different and very good food
- Cons: none
