Optica Eyewear. Right away I should have known something was wrong. It seemed every month from time of purchase I needed to get my glasses tightened because the bows were spreading. Eventually I find out that the frames were defective and according to one Optica employee, they should be fine, "stress fracture, could have been there from the beginning -- probably", "just be gentle when putting them on or removing." What??? They finally fell apart in March and now Optica is growing quiet. Problem is the $350 defective frames are discontinued (wonder why?) and now my $350 perfectly fine lenses are worthless too. After 2 months of no follow-up to my repeated visits, Miguel, George (Jorge?)

and the District Manager are all pointing fingers at the other for not getting back to me and dropping the ball. Wait, sorry, didn't mean to throw the DM under the bus, he hasn't reached out yet even though I was PROMISED a call back last week. So after I speak with him -- IF I speak with him -- then I'll throw him under the bus because I'm sure it will be more of the same. With service like this, it makes the product actually look good!! So now, I'm wearing 7 year old glasses with a bit of an outdated prescription, but they look good and and actually work -- and for only $200!! Oldies but goodies

What A Ripoff!. This is my first time writing but I'm compelled to. I'll never go back to this store either. I needed custom-made lens for a pair of designer frames. I left my credit card info as I was going to have someone else drop off the frames. Well, I changed my mind. When I called to inform them, they said they had already placed the order. Impossible! They didn't even have my frames to make the order. They then charged my card on that very day! (Further evidence that they had not placed the order.) I never received goods or services from them but they charged me over $900! What a ripoff! Of course I've disputed this with my credit card company but I shouldn't have had to go through the trouble. Clearly, they lack integrity and don't follow good business practices. Stay away!

I would never go back to this store.. To me, it seems they don't really know how to make a perfect pair of eye-glasses. They used wrong type lenses for my wife's glasses and didn't even know it, and also mine were all deshaped and lenses were poorly fitted to the frame. it took about a month to get them done right, and it took more than several visits and we had to argue every time since they were not willing to solve the problems. My wife ended up getting another pair at WEAR soon after because the glasses this store made were too poor in quality to wear. If you want a personalized service with a good selection of designs, go to a place like "WEAR" in River North gallery area. Otherwise, those popular eye glasses chains would make a lot more sense than this place.

An eyewear boutique dedicated to those who want a better view of the world.. The Scene
Optica has perfected the meaning of fashion eyewear. An elegant and artistic decor conveys the message that eyewear is an important accessory. If you need glasses, you can boost your fashion facade with chic frames and lenses of all shapes and colors that can be as swank or trendy as you want to be. And with this type of customer service, you'll feel better about spending plenty of money.

The Goods
Designer eyewear from Cartier, Sama, Jean Paul and, of course, the European imported brand Optica are among the array of collections you'll find in upscale store. Rare vintage and antique frames are also available at most locations.

swanky, stylish, pricey. I love my zip l'homme frames from Optica. I've been wearing them for 3 years now, and I still get compliments all the time. For $250, I'd better. Great selection, Gold-Coast prices.
