awesome service in a relaxed, cool atmosphere!

Quite frankly, I'm a bit baffled by the negative writeup given by the previous reviewer. I decided to ignore it and put faith in the glowing reviews from another website, and I'm glad I did. Rori did an aweome job on my hair - I came with some pretty vague instructions and she was able to consult with me and create the best cut I've had in years. Also, she's a really great conversationalist - a world traveler with a great hippie vibe. For a person like me, who feels exceedingly uncomfortable in your average hip hairsalon (I'm talking the Wicker Park-type snobby, overpriced type), the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere was wonderful. Also, Rori didn't try to sell me a bunch of overpriced hair product at the end, which I appreciate. I am going to recommend this place to all my friends.

Worst customer service ever!

This is a very small, home-based salon with only 2 hair stylists. Rori is one of them, and the service I got from her was terrible. I had to wait for almost an hour after my scheduled appointment to get a hair cut. I talked to others about this place, and they told me the same thing too. She always overbooks and doesn't care how long customers have to wait, as long as she can get in as many customers as possible. When I told her I was unhappy with the wait, she made some lame excuses. The hair cut is very disappointing, as she doesn't listen to what I wanted. She also makes so much non-sense small talk, such as "How is life?", as if she cared about my life is. I do not recommend this place to anyone.
