“mediocre sushi at best, less then friendly service, there are just too many decent sushi restaurants nearby, some with better pricing to bother with this one.”

Super awesome Danny roll has a funny name but my favorite here- no rice, just fresh cucumber and crab. Great, no-fuss sushi place for easy weeknight dinners and affordable BYO nights.
mediocre at best. mediocre sushi at best, less then friendly service, there are just too many decent sushi restaurants nearby, some with better pricing to bother with this one.
Yummy in the Tummy!. Reasonably priced sushi in the Southport Corridor. The specialty Maki?s make this place stand out from nearby competition. There?s certainly no shortage of passable sushi joints in Lakeview and this place is in the upper 25% of those. Try the Temptation roll. Mmmmmmm Mmmm!!!
Highly Recommended: terrific sushi and maki, comfortable ambiance, incredibly friendly service!. If you are looking to try a new sushi restaurant, find your way to Sushi Mura any night of the week. Whether you are on a date or meeting a group of friends, you will find this place incredibly accomodating. The maki is unique and prepared with precision. The sushi is always fresh and the staff is genuinely friendly. If you go more than twice in one month, chances are the hostess will remember your name. You will be glad you tried this one!
Good Cheap Sushi. this is a cute little resturant and you can get so much for your money. The atmosphere is very nice, I went with a girlfriend and we could have a conversation which it much better then some resturants in Chicago.
Fun restaurant with Great food. Awesome restaurant. It's definitely our favorite. The food is great!! The staff are top notch! My husband and I have travelled extensively around the world, Sushi Mura sure is on top of our list. I would highly recommend it to anybody who is looking for a fun night with great sushi (and don't forget to try the SakeBomb!) Even if you don't like raw food, they have plenty of great options for you too.
OMG!!!. you will become a prince in this place. People in the restaurant treat you like a family and respect you. Food was amazing too. Ive tried so many japanese place, but i think this is the top restaurant in my saturday and sunday list!!! I recommend sakebomb also! I wonder, however, how HurSan ( the owner) can handle his tolerance tho!! He drinks soooooo much for the customer. Later, i felt bad to ask him for another shot!!!! Anyways, this place became amazing and gorgeous since Hursan took it over!!!
Even Japanese Go For!. I'm Japanese, I've eaten Sushi all my life and I know "Sushi". Amoung many of "kind of Sushi places" in the city, I always go to this place, if I really wanna eat "Sushi". If you wanna have hip & trendy things, this is not the place but you can get good authentic "Sushi" there. People at the restaurant is very friendly and fun and I always enjoy chatting w. them. If I have a visitor (even from Japan), this is a place to take to.
AMAZING!. This little sushi place in Wrigleyville is some of the best sushi around! Not only is the food great, but the people are so friendly & welcoming. The owners are always there, and it truly is a home away from home! Definitely try a sake bomb with the chefs, as well. You won't be disappointed!
LOVE THIS PLACE!. It's the place my roomie and I love to go to. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere, great food-always fresh. It is a little expensive but you get a lot for what you pay for. Whenever friends come from out of town we always take them here when their jonesing for sushi!
Casual storefront on Southport draws a sushi-craving crowd with reliably good maki and Japanese specialties..
In Short
Exposed-brick walls and a bustling sushi bar give this place a comfortable, urban feel. The Japanese menu is great for sushi newbies, with a wide selection of tempuras, teriyakis, noodles and maki. Start with edamame (soy beans) or goma ae--refreshing, chilled, boiled spinach drizzled with sesame dressing. Maki specialties star, with standouts like lobster tempura roll with cucumber, avocado and spicy mayo, and Chicago Crazy roll with tuna, red snapper, salmon and crabmeat.
