What People Are Saying About Circuit/Rehab

The Scene – Go one way, and you could end up dancing next to shirtless gay men and women in stilettos. Go the other way, and you'll forgo the boogieing in favor of a laid-back, cozy lounge. Circuit and Rehab have separate signs out front, but they're sections within the same club. Take the plunge at Circuit, and you'll be treated to strange sound bites--digital screams, cackles and mooing cows. The flashing lights reveal every inch of the converted garage. The dance floor is huge, but as the night progresses, it bursts at the seams with various types of gyrating bodies. – –…
PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS PLACE !!!

~~~~~~~~~~~ Please beware of this place !!! the staff is horrible and the untrained security is on a power trip. I was with a group of friends when the security comes running right by us and starts beating on some guy that was asked to leave .I saw the whole thing right next to us the guy was drunk but was just telling the short Latin security guy that it was fine and he would walk out by him self . The guy was trying to get his coat ticket from his friend and security would not let him get it so the security started to pull on him forcefully and then tried to put him in a headlock the guy pushed the security guy and told him that he wanted his jacket the security started to strike him in the face so he fought back then another security comes up and starts punching him in the face too while the other guy had his arms already pulled back not cool at all ! I went up to the security and said that that is not cool to use that kind of force on a person that is drunk . the poor guy was not combative until he was forced to defend himself . I asked for a mgr to let them know what I saw and they all stuck together and said he brought it apon himself . We have all been there and got a little out of line but seriously should you get the living daylights beat out of you by security like that . Also the bartender tried to short change me thinking I wouldn't`t notice . The place is very dirty and just not all that . Sorry but I would rather spend my money some other club that treats people with dignity and respect . This is for the poor guy out there that got the daylights beat out of him . I will never step foot in there again .....
- Pros: latin music and latin guys
- Cons: dirty place ,rude staff ,untrained or on a power trip security ,dirty smelly bathrooms
The Circuit: The trashiest "night club" in gay Chicago
by crazydisappointed at Citysearch
Okay, my girlfriend and I stopped at the circuit thinking that it would a dance club, something a little different than our dance clubs at home, maybe even bigger and better. When we walked inside it was the most unimpressive dirty place either of us had ever been. I would definately consider this place the dive bar of boystown. Being from Omaha Nebraska, which isn't nearly a big as Chicago, our clubs are actual clubs, places you would want to go, multiple dance floors and hot people. The circuit was more or less empty on a saturday night at 12am, and the people dancing on the "dance floor" were over 30 and not very pretty. We couldn't even stomach to stay more than 20 minutes.
Within the first 3 minutes of being there we were harrassed by the "security guards" for going into the bathroom together. It was pretty repulsive and when we said something on the way out, we were more or less ignored.
You can definately tell that this place had no sense of community. Which is really sad for Chicago, or at least gay Chicago. It makes me proud to be gay where I'm from because when we go to our gay bars and gay dance clubs, we're welcomed, and you know people, and it's a true community of people. I guess it just goes to show you that larger cities, being so much larger, can contain that much more trash than a smaller city could.
I think that if you are expecting trashy, dirty, cheap (not literally) because you spend entirely too much money, on over-priced, watered-down cocktails, this is the place for you. But if you hold yourself in any kind of regard and consider yourself to have even an ounce of class, and would like to go out and have a fun time rather than want to have to take an acid bath after leaving, you should stay clear of the circuit, this is not the place for you.
- Pros: Finding the door to leave
- Cons: Absoltely every aspect of the place
Best dance party and DJ's in Chicago
by coreysmith10 at Citysearch
If you haven't been to Circuit, you haven't really been to a dance club in Chicago. Very reasonable drink prices, nice staff and such a fun, eclectic crowd. The first time I went was Couples Dance Contest Night, and it was more than entertaining. They also get the best DJ's in the world to spin there, so you know it has to be nationally known.
- Pros: Awesome space, super friendly staff, great crowd
