“we waited too long to be served and hated the "shoe string " fries, just burned and hard.”
Terrible, not family friendly or enjoyable. it was myself, my wife and 2year old son on a Thursday night. we sat on the patio. we waited too long to be served and hated the "shoe string " fries, just burned and hard. our server could have cared less and seemed over worked. unlike other reviews, none of the staff was Irish and nothing was very authentic. after the meal, we used an Entertainment Book coupon buy one menu item get one free. we got our son's $4 hotdog for free. upon mentioning it to the manager, he said that that's how they do it, if we got an appetizer, that's what would have been free. Not helpful, almost argumentitive. I will never go back. for a place in a family filled area, with lots of family eating, it was not kid friendly or enjoyable.
Bad business. Very poorly run restaurant. Bounces employee payroll checks! A joke of a place!
Huge Portions!. Great food! The portions are so huge, but very delicious. They have a great bar selection. The patio is perfect for summer. Great atmosphere and is the perfect Irish Pub. Our service wasn't too good, but she had a lot on her hands so I didn't hold it against her. Definitely plan on going back to try other items on the menu!
ST. PATRICK'S DAY CHOICE!. Great ethnic atmosphere. Beautiful wooden bar. Great friendly people and wait-staff.
This authentic Irish hangout is equal parts elegant pub and rowdy live-music venue..
In Short
Next door to the Mercury Theater, this upscale watering hole features an artful tin ceiling and a polite (and mostly Irish) staff that serves pub fare with cloth napkins in a wood-accented setting. Booths line the wall opposite the bar, with a few tables at the front by the windows. On the menu: sandwiches and burgers, plus shepherd's pie, meat loaf, fish-and-chips and a crusty, creamy dish of mac and cheese.
ultimate irish pub. GREAT food, huge selection of beer, and gorgeous wooden bar. this place has tons of atmosphere--but sometimes the wait is ridiculously long. still, if you want a traditional Irish pub, you can't do better than this!
Great Food, Terrible Service. Cullen's has excellent food and a great atmosphere. However, the service is consistently terrible even during times when they are slow. On my last visit, it took the waitress 10 minutes to first come to our table. Then she only returned to bring us our food and our check, and our order wasn't even correct. And this isn't a one time experience, as it is consistently poor. I only return because the food is quite good and reasonable.
