Never thought i'd love a dive bar, but....

What makes this place a standout is the personality of the staff and the place. Rossi's has been around forever, and the place does a great job making you feel like you can kick back when many of the other restaurants/bars in downtown Chicago don't. Obviously, its not the place you'd want to go to if you're out with a date, but it is a great little nook with character and history, and a great place to toss back a beer while checking out city lights.

• Pros: Personality, personality, kicked back atmosphere
• Cons: all the waaay downtown for us andersonvillers ;)

Great friendly neighborhood joint

Visited Rossi's from Cleveland over New Year's weekend and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. Definitely a place I'd hang out at frequently if I lived in Chicago. Great atmosphere, friendly people, cheap drinks, and fun jukebox.

• Pros: Fun, Friendly, Excellent bar staff
• Cons: Smokey for some

Nice neighborhood type bar

Rossi'r is a nice quiet little bar near river north and loop. It has been there a long time, but chances are once they get the new trump tower up, this area will be gentrified and redeveloped, and it may not be here long
