In Short – Founded in 1901 in Chicago by Charles R. Walgreen Sr., this neighborhood pharmacy has grown to be one of the nation's largest drugstore chains. Each store carries 25,000 different items--from cleaning products to electronics and greeting cards. There are alot of Walgreens in the city (just like anywhere else) but this one is very convenient to me. The associates are personable and very helpful. They usually have the items I'm looking for, and most of the time the lines are short so I leave right out. The main parking lot is small and the hours are not always convenient. I think they close around 10 during the week.
