Chicago >City Sports
Urbanites with athletic lifestyles find popular-label apparel, footwear and equipment for most indoor and outdoor games and sports..
This Boston-based sporting goods chain carries a selection of gym wear, backpacks and accessories, but sneakers are the main draw. The diverse selection of active footwear ranges from the latest New Balance all-terrain cross-trainers to trendy casual styles even the hippest downtown scenester would covet. Also find basketballs, baseballs and mitts, in-line skates, foosball tables, Frisbees and everything in between.
Not the Boston-based company!!! Editors are wrong!!. To clarify, this is NOT City Sports, the Boston based chain, the editorial review is wrong. The City Sports in Chicago is its own company, a seperate 3 store independent company that does carry a decent array of product as a small retailer. The City Sports based out of Boston is a high-end retailer of sporting goods and equipment with stores in various markets across the East Coast of the US. I work in the sporting goods industry. If you are familiar with the Boston City Sports, don't expect the same from the City Sports in Chicago. The Chicago company can't compare with the product selection, the quality of brands and products, and the level of service and knowledge from the staff. They do a decent job, and are better than Sports Authority (which is the same company as Sportmart) or Dicks.
