Best Kept Secret in Chicago...it's definitely worth a visit!. This is ONE OF THE BEST places I've ever shopped for hair/wigs/accessories. I say this because I have shopped all over the place - Kansas City, Minneapolis, St. Louis, San Diego, New York -- even in Canada and Mexico! :) I have been a regular customer since 2004. I was referred by another long time regular as well. I LOVE this place. They have a sales girl there named Maria who is so sweet and SUPER helpful. I had moved out of the Chicago area and came back over 1 year later and she STILL remembered me and made sure I was able to find exactly what I was looking for as well. There prices are super affordable and they have great hours too. They are even open on Sundays - NICE!! I will ALWAYS be going back to them. This shop has never, ever disappointed me or let me down!

wonderful!. Fantastic, helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. Amazing selection! I love heads and threads, they always take their time helping me match my extensions to my hair. So kind and have great hours. Customer for life!

Best hair you'll find anywhere in Chicago. I've coming here for extensions for about 5 years so I've come to know the owners and the sales people here. They have always been friendly - the owner Jessica always remembers what type of hair I like so she makes sure she always has some in the store. If she doesn't she orders it for me. (Her husband is not very talkative, but he always to very accomodating.) But most of all, this is the best place to get quality hair. I went there for the first time based on the recommendation of my stylist who gave me their business card. Trust me, I've been around searching for good hair - and they have it! they have the top of the line stuff that other stores around here don't. and i don't have to go bankrupt to have gorgeous hair!!

One of the best hair stores in Chicago. I though I should write a response to the nasty review written here about this little store since I think it's a fabulous place! The place has been around since long as I can remember (maybe 20 years?), when Wicker Park was a pretty scary place.

I own a salon and I've been coming here to get my hair extensions for awhile and I've always thought the sales ladies and the owner (Jessica) were all very nice. Also, their selection is wonderful and carry the best brands like Bohyme (This is the type of hair i recommend to my clients). They're always very helpful and they always give me discounts and throw in small goodies when I shop there.

As for you nasty reviewer, there are signs in there all over the place that says specifically that all sales are final and that there are no refunds. That's typical in wig/hair shops anywhere in the city as far as I know. You are obviously new to hair products, since what you paid really isn't much (my customers usually spend well over 400 just on hair not including the actual application/styling). You should've done your research and not blame the nice people at Heads and Threads. Regulations for how much hair costs? You are an idiot...

Excellent service and hair products.. l know what brands are good quality and so i spend my money on specific brands and always come away satisfied. Excellent service by Maria,the salesLady and will recommend this place anytime.

BAD BUISNESS. I spent 140 dollars on "quality" hair....2 days after it was tangled frizzy and a mess. I had to brush it every 15 minutes and even then it looked horrible. I brought my complaints to the owner...who automatically said NO REFUND....I then tried to ask the owner what products would tame the hair....he was still on the defensive saying he didnt know what i did to it...( all i did was put it in my hair) and then proceed to mumble something in broken english....i believe he is using not knowing english as a crutch to not be responsible for the products he is selling.....there really needs to be regulations on what is okay to be sold at what price.....even when i was in the store the sales woman that I had encountered was unhelpful like the owner.....i specifically asked what the quality was like and she shrugged and said it just depends on the company she guessed....either these people are dishonest or they are ignorant about what they are selling. Either way BAD BAD BAD....NEVER AGAIN!
