Editorial Review for Fox's – by Elisa Kronish
The Scene
Except for a few colorful, cartoony sale posters designed by the owner's sister, and a candy bowl at the register, Fox's decor is strictly utilitarian. But no matter: This shop is all about the bargains. The Halsted store is one of 11 Fox's across the country. Being the only big-city store, it caters to its crowd and is more boutique than resale shop.
The Goods
"Resale" isn't really the right word for Fox's. It actually sells new and current fashions at 40 to 70 percent off regular retail prices. The shop gets this great deal by buying canceled orders and overruns. Most of the designer labels are removed, but some remain, like Calvin Klein, Parallel and Ralph Lauren.

One of my college grads was graduating in May 05' and my hairstylist reccommended Fox's to me. I had heard her talk about this place before. Soooo I went to the store and was slightly disappointed abut the selection. I wanted more sizes for large frame women (sz.14), but I found a BEAUTI FUL suit for about $100.. The suit looks so hot in the soft lavender. My mom wore the same color at his grad.and we looked marvelous, Darling! (smile) . My soon-to-be-ex-husband said "It almost looked tailor-made!" . It hugs the right spots. It really looks great!! So I do encourage the noveau shopper to give it a try! I hope you'll find a great deal Sincerely, Kim L.
Pros: Nice colors
Cons: Not well informed abut the selecton.

I just moved back to the city after living away for 1 1/2 years. This used to be my favorite place to shop. Something has changed, the store was sloppy & cheap looking & the staff was not helpful at all. There are still some great deals on clothes if you can bear to pick your way through the clutter. I am so sad. I used to love shopping here.
