Fox's Clothes store, Skokie, Illinois. the worst experience in a store ever!!! You cannot just get, pay and go! nooooo! you HAVE to give them all this info about yourself. First they start with the phone number. But wait, i don't want to give you my phone number. We need it because that's how our system works! We need it just in case you loose your receipt and you want to return something. Really??? i think i should have the option of deciding if that is something that i want or not!!!After 5 minutes of arguing, you give them the phone number just to get it over with! but wait, very serene then they ask you for your home address!!!! they want all the works! And again, you do not have the option of saying no! Oh, no! People! I just want to pay for my stuff and leave!!!! i do not want to give all my information to some clothing store!!! RIDICULOUS!!! I find it very annoing that i do not have the option of saying "no, thank you"! I suppose i should be gratefull that they didn't ask for my social!!! I eventually dropped all the clothes and left! Not to mention the lack of a proper dressing room! it's an open space with some kind of "let's all admire everybody's undergarments". forget about privacy or the fact that i might not want some 10 other women starring at me while i try something on! oh, and the associates! god bless them! you'd think that they've had a whole huge jar of really sour pickles for breakfast! and all that before you want to pay and they start interogating you about your personal info! They're rude, with the fakest smiles on and husshing you the fastest tehy can! nice clothes but everything else a huge mess!!!Oh, all this at the Skokie store in Illinois!
Great quality clothes and accessories at discounted prices!. I must say that Fox's is a great place to shop. I always find great deals on cute clothes. Whether you are looking for a new jacket or a new sweater, you can always expect to pay a lot less then at a regular boutique or department store. I highly recommend this store.
Nice store Pretty colors available..
One of my college grads was graduating in May 05' and my hairstylist reccommended Fox's to me. I had heard her talk about this place before. Soooo I went to the store and was slightly disappointed abut the selection. I wanted more sizes for large frame women (sz.14), but I found a BEAUTI FUL suit for about $100.. The suit looks so hot in the soft lavender. My mom wore the same color at his grad.and we looked marvelous, Darling! (smile) . My soon-to-be-ex-husband said "It almost looked tailor-made!" . It hugs the right spots. It really looks great!! So I do encourage the noveau shopper to give it a try! I hope you'll find a great deal
Sincerely, Kim L.
Not the same as I remember!!. I just moved back to the city after living away for 1 1/2 years. This used to be my favorite place to shop. Something has changed, the store was sloppy & cheap looking & the staff was not helpful at all. There are still some great deals on clothes if you can bear to pick your way through the clutter. I am so sad. I used to love shopping here.
Cool unique clothes, good prices. At Fox's they have really neat clothes which are very unique and better quality than all other discount clothing places I've been to. Pricing wise they're above, say, Marshalls or TJ Maxx, but then again the quality is better overall, and the selection is EXCELLENT, and they're below what you'd find similar stuff in the mall for. They're the only store where I can find *something* that I like, in my size, every time. I want to buy everything in the store when I walk in. All other stores I often walk out empty-handed, because the clothing is too plain, too pricy, too cheaply made, or not in my size. At Fox's there seems to be the most bang for a buck for coolness factor, quality, and price.
With designer clothes selling for less, resale reaches a peak..
The Scene
Except for a few colorful, cartoony sale posters designed by the owner's sister, and a candy bowl at the register, Fox's decor is strictly utilitarian. But no matter: This shop is all about the bargains. The Halsted store is one of 11 Fox's across the country. Being the only big-city store, it caters to its crowd and is more boutique than resale shop.
The Goods
"Resale" isn't really the right word for Fox's. It actually sells new and current fashions at 40 to 70 percent off regular retail prices. The shop gets this great deal by buying canceled orders and overruns. Most of the designer labels are removed, but some remain, like Calvin Klein, Parallel and Ralph Lauren.
Name brands, great deals.... If you need some serious work clothes and have to keep to a budget, this is the place. Great selection. The staff is very helpful. And the inventory is usually pretty good. Check back often a - they're always getting new things.
A True Find !. This place is a true needle in a haystack. It is amazing. YOu will find designer clothes at amazing prices. You might need to keep going back for numerous trips but it really is worth it. It really is a find.
