Nice stuff: fact or fiction?. I bought a great pair of shoes at this store and then noticed a defect at home. I was upset, but needed to return the shoes. The owner was not nice and he acted like he made me a favor that he gave me my money back. Moreover, he told me that there is no defect even though it was clear that it was... I like the shoes in this store, but I do not think that I will visit this store ever again.

Between the small main store and the larger expansion two doors down, there's space for just a few people to try on shoes. Choose from a wide array of shoes, which are imported from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Brazil and sometimes Asia.

Italian Style. Whether you're looking for something dressy or casual, you can find it at Slithers. Their staff is ALWAYS very friendly and willing to help me find what I need. If you want cheap shoes this is not the place for you...I believe famous footwear is right down the street :) Slithers brings a taste of Italian fashion to the streets of Lincoln Park. My friends and I swear by their shoes every season!! I even bought a pair for my boyfriend when they started carrying men's shoes. And their Italian leather bags are to DIE for!!! I live in the suburbs but I still make a trip here every now and then. It's worth it.

Horrible Return Policy. The staff on the surface appears both friendly and helpful, but the instant you try to return an item - look out! Insane return policy, makes the initial trip far from worth it...especially when you're returning an item that has completely fallen apart within one day of wearing it. You're better off somewhere else.
