Twin Anchors is one of the reasons Lincoln Park is so special. It's good enough for the Blues Brothers and Oprah Winfrey, so it's good enough for me.

Too much build up..... I have just recently moved to chicago, and everyone has been raving about the ribs at Twin Anchors, and I was sadly disappointed, the ribs were dry and lacked the tenderness and flavor one would expect from one of the city's best rib place, although in spite of the failure in the ribs, they redeemed themselves with some of their sides such as the onion rings and creamed spinach, although not enough to pull through for me. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself is quite fun, busy, and an assortment of all ages of people.

You call that Ribs?. I guess I am just used to my down south slow-smoked ribs and sugary sauce, but I didn't care for the ribs at all. Still, the place is great and the people (and there are plenty of them) are friendly. Well-worth a trip, but don't go expecting great BBQ.

twin anchors is a twin treat. Don't know what the previous rater was talking about with the sauce. I found it delicious and the baby backs were great, also a fantastic hamburger. Ambience was lacking but the service was OK. Go there and pig out.

This dark hideaway serves up ribs by the rack-full to an adoring Old Town crowd.. In Short
Once a Prohibition speakeasy, this low-ceilinged, dimly lit space nearly always has a wait. The dining room seats 60, while the bar squeezes in another 15 around curved leather booths. Baby back ribs are the main attraction, served with extra sauce--zesty or mild. Choose baked potato, ridge-cut fries or onion rings on the side. Other entrees include broiled tiger shrimp, burgers, pulled pork and a half-chicken that's fried then quickly broiled and basted with barbecue sauce.

Overachieving corner pub. I'm a local in the Twin Anchors area, and I've never felt it justified the hype. My ribs were slightly dry and the sauce doesn't hit me as a world-class sauce.

Nothing Special. I recently brought my family to dine at Twin Anchors after hearing much buzz about the establishment. I have to say that I normally don't complain poor food or poor service or both, and I haven't with Twin Anchors, until now. There ribs are mediocre, their barbeque sauce is nothing to rant and rave about, there ranch dressing is the worst I've ever tasted and I felt as though I was sitting on the patron's lap behind me. Don't waste your time with this restaurant, treat yourself to the fireplace or another rib joint in the same vicinity.

Consistently good ribs. this is the famous bar for ribs. they are actually very good. seating is minimal so waits can be long. side dishes are fine-nothing outstanding. the pulled pork sandwich is quite good too. nice old chicago feel. being a bar, drinks are plentiful.
