“We experienced a very expensive but lackluster dining experience Friday Jan. 18th at the Lombard Yorktown location.”
“The service, food, and drinks were excellent.”
“Lots of attention to detail in sauces (fresh tomatillos in the verde sauce) and sides.”
“it does have the most extensive selections of tequila anywhere.”
“Adobo is a great place to start off the night.”
“We've only tried a few appetizers, but the service is always great and what we've had has been wonderful!”
“Our meal started off on a high note, the famous tableside Guacamole is quite tasty, and the margaritas are very good, however the entrees leave much to be desired, especially since they are close to 20 dollars a plate.”

Mmmm, mmmm, Adobo's margaritas are my favorite margaritas. Make sure to order yours with a mezcal float. You'll say gracias later.

It's tough to top the hand-shaken margs here. Food-wise, the usual suspects (tacos, guac) are your best bets. A fun scene for sure!
Always Margarita. I visited this place with my brother. We always order margarita because it always the best ever. They have also a variety of food. The place is always cool and clean.
If you dine - don't forget a personal item.
It was a Sunday afternoon this summer. I shopped at a local boutique nearby, then with a friend strolled into Adobo Grill, as I had done on other occasions, to have a Margarita -- which is quite good.
However, this time I walked out and left my shopping bag with its contents at the side of my chair on the floor, just behind the reservations desk. The next morning, I called the restaurant, told the manager-of-the-morning about my package and its contents which she verified. She said the items would be in the manager' s office and would be given to me when I came in.
The following day, on arrival at Adobo Grill, the chief manager, had the bag brought to me with one item missing and another damaged. When the previous manager was called, she denied her confirmation of the contents -- now, "she could not recall what she had said to me."
The chief manager stated he could vouch for the honesty of all his staff and felt the present contents of the shopping bag was what was there originally. The manager was indifferent and made no effort to get to the truth or to satisfy me, the customer -- which now I am not longer!
Best Margarita in Chicago!. I almost do not want to leave such a good review because then it will get too crowded - but seriosly this is the best margarita I've had in this city so far. We've only tried a few appetizers, but the service is always great and what we've had has been wonderful! We're going back for a full dinner real soon!
Nothing special and very expensive. We experienced a very expensive but lackluster dining experience Friday Jan. 18th at the Lombard Yorktown location. Very very expensive for the small portions. Taste was nothing special either. Better off almost any other restaurant. Will not return. All 4 of us were VERY dissapointed.
Good Upscale Mexican. Adobo is a great place to start off the night. Great guacamole, tasty margaritas, good food. It is a festive place that is a step (or two) above your typical mexican joint. The tequila flights amke for a fun evening as well-- be careful! Great place for groups.
Fresh Guacamole. I was told they have the best guacamole before I went, and I have to agree it is the best I have had. As a plus they make it fresh right in front of you. The tortilla soup was a little spicy but very good. Everyone else I was with enjoyed their meals. Good drink selection too. If you are planning on going to Second City for the night I suggest eating dinner here.
Get the guacamole!. I love this place. The margaritas are to die for, and the tableside guacamole is the best. The portion size is just right, and the restaurant has a unique take on typical Mexican food. So good!
Not Typical Chicago Mexican. We are frequent diners at Adobo and find the food to be very tasty and fresh. Typically we will just order a bunch of the app's and some spicy gucamole and skip the entrees. The appetizer menu is large with great variety and interesting items that you don't find at most Chicago Mexican restaurants and the portion sizes are great to share. This makes for a great, fun meal for lunch or dinner and of course you must have the margaritas. One of the freshest in town. Try it, you'll like it! It's not just tacos, burritos and enchiladas at Adobe Grill! Desserts are quite tasty too if you have a sweet tooth.
Best Restaurant in Chicago!. I take EVERYONE that visits me in Chicago to Adobo. Service is always excellent.... the food is always fabulous..... and the margaritas are the best in Chicago. The guacamole is a MUST!
Bad entrees. Portions are small and the mole with roast pork WAS rubbery as someone else mentioned and the sauce was SO bland!!! The wait staff seemed preoccuppied and they didn't check in with us as often as they should have - almost rude. I'm not running back there, but too bad cause the decor is way above average.
