Fun, Great Servers & Cornh0le!. I love this bar. It's great for sports & the food is actually tasty w/ lots of options.....every bartender I meet there is so friendly & welcoming. They also accomodate you if you want to play some Cornh0le (inside the bar as long as it's not too crowded) or turn the music up.

one of our favorites. My boyfriend and I live in the area and spend a lot of time there, so we are a little biased. Service can be a little slow when they're busy, but it's always worth the wait and they're always very friendly. The food is delicious in portions so big we always have some to take home and we never run out of new beers to drink. We do try to get there early, after work, when almost half the menu is half-price, and it isn't very busy. But we've never had a bad experience.

THIS PLACE IS BAD. You have got to be kidding... is all I can say about this place, either the past reviewers are use to lax service or the reviews have been written by the owners/workers themselves, moved into the area recently decided to check out the local for a couple of brews...never again...service was not only non-existant but plain rude....excuse me if I expect service in a nearly half empty bar, when staff seem to be at the maximum.....could do with a bit of an update on all levels

This Old Town sports bar offers a full menu of apps, sandwiches and pasta dishes.. In Short
The sports scene dominates Sedgwick's, an Old Town meeting place that offers a full menu of appetizers, sandwiches and pasta dishes. More than a dozen draft beers are available, as are numerous bottled selections. A young crowd convenes for college sports games, as well as international rugby and soccer games.

Trendy nightmare kills potential good spot. This would be a fun bar if it weren't for the people who are there. At night you can't walk five feet without bumping into an oblivious trixie or her chad yapping about ugly people or the price of lift tickets at Vail. The brunch would be great if the person next to you weren't sending back a plate of chicken because she "just doesn't like the look of the sauce. I KNOW I won't like it..." Ugh.

a classic movie set. Sedgwick's has a great range of food for a great price. I lived right down the street on 1800 Lincoln for a year while out of school and I've had the whole menu. I would rank the chicken quesadillas as the best in town, period. The burgers are really good, too. Don't expect to pay more than $40 total for two. The people watching is always good (at night) and the drinks are never weak. They even throw in a Scottish bartender to boot. You can tell this is is a privately owned place because of the unconventional way they always get (or make) things right. For a $40 for a meal, how can you lose?

User review by juddbowers. Great basement to have private parties, very secluded from other patrons. Have good food and menu. Great for group or place to just relax.

Great food, great atmosphere. I met a bunch of friends at Sedgwick's recently for the Illinois/Iowa game on Feb. 19. The bar was full @ 11am with half-Iowa, half-Illinois fans. Had a bunch of appetizers. Quesadillas and artichoke dip were great. Wings were the best I've ever had! Huge, meaty wings with a great sauce. Hot, but not too hot. Our group also had wraps and burgers that were top notch. Our waitress was cute and attentive. They had $4 Bloody Marys and $15 buckets of beer on special.

Nice food, good neighborhood feel. I went to this bar on New Years Day to watch some bowl games. It was pretty early, a little before noon. This was a great place to be at this time. Great Menu for all times of the day, nice relaxed atmosphere; lots of TVs
