Perfect place to start wrapping up the summer. I found this restaurant randomly on citysearch. I was looking for a restaurant that we had never tried before in this area where we could sit outside. We loved our waitress (Shelly). She was on top of things from start to finish. The food was super tasty from our appetizer to our dessert. I never wanted the dinner to end, kind of like I don't want this summer to end! We had the fried calamari that was perfect. The pasta dishes were perfect. The chocolate cake was perfect. I am still full!!! I needed this restaurant to be perfect and it did not disappoint!!! We sat outside, but the inside looked really cozy and contemporary. The manager/owner (not sure who he was) came around to make sure everything was going well, which I loved. I don't know what else to say about this place, except you need to try it if you are looking for someplace new to check out. CHECK IT OUT!!!

Annual Visit. We come up from Nashville once a year for a change of scenery, stay in the city and hit the shops of Armitage and Wicker Park. Tarantino's will definately be one of our 2 dining spots for the weekend. Food was great, service was great and the atmosphere was perfect.

Food: Butternut Squash Soup and Lamb Chops were perfect.

Service: nice waiter. Attentive

Atmosphere: exposed brick, high ceilings, romantic but could see where a group would also be comfortable. Great size restaurant - not too big/not too small.

I was somewhat surprised, in a restaurant this size, that the owner didn't find time to make it around and check in with any of the patrons.

Overrated and overpriced.. Despite its fairly good reputation, Tarantino's is overpriced and overrated. Waiters have an attitude.

Excellent Food!. The food, the ambiance, the wine is all great here. The listing of specials was diverse and long. Our entire group was happy with the diversity of the menu and the service. They serve fresh bread and a tapenade immediately when seated. I ordered an appetizer of calamari and entree special of breast of chicken stuffed with goat cheese and herbs that were both fantastic!

Contemporary Italian food and a soothing atmosphere in Lincoln Park.. In Short
Entering Tarantino's is a bit like walking onstage: Diners enter through a large black curtain that brings you into a a high-ceilinged, cozy room. Oak tables with candles set a romantic mood. The contemporary, seasonal menu favors light Italian food. There's always a fresh fish special and a daily risotto. The two-sausage pizza is a tempting appetizer. Pasta entrees are eye-pleasing and original, like farfalle and smoked chicken with spinach and garlic olive sauce. For dessert, spoon up luxurious chocolate cake.

tasty treats abound. tarantino's is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy a delicious cocktail as well as a fine meal. the beet salad is a great starter. the specials are always fresh. and the portions are very generous. the espresso martini is a great finish to any meal, especially if you're too full to order something from the dessert menu.

Bad Service. The food was great, however the service was horrible. It seems they only cater to Lincoln Park Snobs. NO THANKS.

Ambiance along with an exquisite meal.... is the perfect ending to an otherwise hard day. Soft lighting, the soft hustle and bustle of the kitchen and wait staff coupled with their superb menu and lenghty wine and marini lists makes Tarantino's makes it the best place in the area, if not the city, to sit back, relax, have a fantastic meal and end your day on a positive note.
