A great place to be. This is one of my favorite restaurants. It has it all. A great atmosphere for friends, families, and couples. They have a wonderful bar. The food is always on par. And most importantly, the service is ALWAYS exceptional. The drinks are on the expensive side but splurge once in a while. I promise you will only need one margarita.

So Much Fun!. What can be better than a delicious margarita the size of your head? Dancing with a mariachi band while you drink it! Whether you stay in the bar area or sit down for some dinner this place is great for dates, families, or friends. Good food but even better is the drinks and entertainment. Make reservations on the weekends!

The food is no-nonsense and the margaritas mean business at this Mexican chain.. In Short
Awash in loud oil paintings of sultry senoritas, pottery, plants and assorted bric-a-brac, this place has festive appeal. Latin-flavored pop blares as after-work diners call for one more pitcher of 'ritas. The appetizer platter feeds three and features nachos, quesadillas, tamales and flautas. Camarones empanizados (breaded shrimp) are enlivened by zesty sauce, and carne asada zamora (steak with refried beans) is hearty and filling. Drenched with milk, sumptuous tres leches cake is a perfect finish.

margaritas. Lalo's margaritas is the one that I use to compare all other margaritas to. Hands down the best in the city.

Been There. I just have to say that we went out of our way to eat there. I was not impressed! I was just about done with the Large Margarita, and my Husband asked how it was. Well I would usually be laughing by now. I really do not think that there was any liquor in there. And for that Price? I will try a different place! I pass.

Lalo's. Lalo's is awsome mex food. Wonderful to bring the kids, and I go for the Margarita's and their soup.

Like my home cooked chicken soup.

The waiters are friendly and like family.

Why?. I don't know why this place comes so recomended. I mean, sure, the ambiance is nice, but the food is SO overraed. If your looking for the real thing, go to the Pilsen/Little Village area. I promise you that you will find some of the finest authentic Mexican food in the city.

2 Thumbs Down. We called to see what the wait was, and they said that we could walk right in and that there is no waiting for 2 people. We drove right over - 5 minutes later - and ended up waiting at the bar for 45 minutes. The margaritas are expensive and the crowd could use some polishing up. The food was extremely disappointing. We both got fajitas and they looked like the food was scraped off other people's plates and put on ours. The steak was low end meat and both the steak and chicken had no flavor. If it wasn't for the powerful margaritas, I would have run out screaming, or did I?!!

Extremelly expensive Margaritas. I was hoping to find an authentic Mexican restaurant, instead we found an expencive Bar and average Mexican non-authentic cusine. I would not be back.
