Pizza by the slice an option here. But the crust is a little thicker, a little breadier. You have to be in that carbo kind of mood.

Great Pizza. Cafe Luigi and Pompei have the best pizza in Chicago. These are my two go two spots after doing the full city pizza tour!

Cafe Luigi is cheap, the portions are huge and the pizza is really delish!

Great neighborhood spot!

New York Pizza at it's BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I grew up in New York.I've been here for six years. The city is great, the food sucks!!Chicago style pizza and hot dogs are horrible.(who puts tomatoes and pickles on a hot dog?How about some sauerkraut PLEASE).

I spent two weeks at home over the holidays and ate as many pizzas as I could shove down my throat. When I got back,I brought my uncle(also a former New Yorker)to Cafe Luigi's.We ate one of the greatest pizzas of my life,it was even better than any of the pizzas I had over the holidays.

If you have the NEED for NY Pizza,go HOME to LUIGI'S!!!!(although he's Russian and lived in Pennsylvania, never New York, the man can make a pizza!!)

If you like 2 hour delivery times and cold pizza. The pizza is good, if you pick it up at the restaurant. But, if you order delivery, expect about a 2 hour wait time on Tuesday nights. 2 plus hour wait on Friday and Saturday. When your pizza does finally arrive it will be cold, soggy, and taste terrible!!!! You?ll also have the joy of an incredibly rude delivery person that will curse at you if you say anything about the length of time it takes. Overall opinion, this place is overrated and not worth the wait.

Best NY Pizza I've found in Chicago. As a transplanted New Yorker, I can say that this place is a hidden gem. The pizza, although not PERFECT, (because you cant get perfect NY pizza outside of NY), is pretty darn close. This place is tucked away in a small space surrounded by other food establishments, so it's easy to miss, but if you get the chance and you have the urge for a great NY style slice, this is the place to go.

Best NY Style Pizza in Chicago. If you're from the eastern US and have looked for "New York" style pizza in Chicago, you'll know that a good one is hard to find. Cafe Luigi hits the mark with their pizza and it's the perfect balance between the ultra-thin crust and deep dish pizzas of Chicago. For home delivery you may have to wait about an hour, but takeout is much quicker. If you crave really great New York-style pizza, go to Cafe Luigi--you won't be disappointed!

Best NYC style pizza. actually, it's probably the only NYC-style pizza in town! But it is great. The true standard is that my favorite slice is the plain, a sure sign of a great pizza.
