“At first glance, this seems like a cool bar with great specials.”
A comfortable, historic Lincoln Park destination for watching sports or socializing with friends..
In Short
Reportedly a speakeasy during Prohibition, Kelsey's retains a lot of its old charm, yet stays up to date with the latest in sound and screen technology for its sports-hungry college and post-college patrons. Behind the bar is a mirrored wall of bottles that reaches all the way to the ceiling, and the selection of 14 draft beers includes Smithwick's and Goose Island 312.
Great low key hangout. The reviewer who said this place is filled with college kids must have only been there on a weds night for the dollar night, and then what do u expect. for dollar beers go to kendalls next door on thurs, if you want to play some pool and be served by the hottest bartenders and waitresses in lincoln park then check this place out.
Kelsey's the place to drink 4 cheap. There are good nights & then there are Great nights. Most of the time at Kelsey's there Great Nights.
DuPaul Greek Nightmare. At first glance, this seems like a cool bar with great specials. Then it becomes overrun by greek geeks from dupaul. I've never been asked "What sorority are you in?" more in my life. Oh yeah, and everyone is 18 years old. If it weren't for the dollar draws, I never would have been drunk enough to stand it.
