The Scene – The clientele has softened since Delilah's was Crash Palace, but it remains fueled by owner Mike Miller's passion for whiskey and rock and roll. Besides having one of the city's best jukeboxes (Hank Williams, Sex Pistols, James Brown and local indie rock), Delilah's features DJs from Chicago's music subcultures spinning selections from their personal collections five days a week. Local musicians spin on a semi-regular basis. Employees of record labels like Estrus Records (garage rock) and Bloodshot Records (insurgent country) have also made appearances. Count on hearing punk…
Special Place for Special People - Is Right!

If the language could be stronger on this site, trust me - I would definitely be using it. If the rating could be no stars, trust me - it would be.
Don't waste your time going to this place. A friend of mine had an unfortunate incident and lost consciousness while we were leaving the bar. Since he hadn't even finished 1 beer at the place (and we had already decided to leave) it was in no way alcohol induced. The bouncer and bar tender kept insisting that he leave (which would include walking down a steep and uneven flight of stairs) despite a doctor's orders to have my friend stay put until he could stand. It was obviously a very serious situation and he was quite shaken.
They finally backed off only to make fun of my friend and the situation over a loudspeaker system to the ENTIRE bar. Not really a situation to make light of. AND certainly not the reaction an establishment should have if a customer falls ill while visiting. It's not okay and I feel everyone considering this bar should know what type of people you'll encounter at Delilah's.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Rude, Inconsiderate Employees

I have known Mike since he worked at a little bar called GMKPRS lol He has always been a great guy & I am so happy his bar is still a success after all these years. It isn't surprising to me ...he is a friendly, hard working all around great guy! WTG Miller!! You never came to see me in Germany!
- Pros: great people
- Cons: can be too crowded
Great place for the beer aficionado
by GatorMing at Citysearch
Or aspiring beer aficionado. We were there for a "beer fest" which was not as organized as it could be. But the selection was very good.
This bar is not listed as a Belgian bar anywhere, but it's pretty close to bar's in other parts of the country that claim to be a Belgian bar. There was a downstairs and upstairs bar. They had Delirium Tremens on tap, and Rocheforte no 10 upstairs (rare find in any bar).
It's sort of a mix of dive bar and a world of beer bar. Definitely worth checking out.
- Pros: Beer selection
- Cons: Rickity staircase
