Wow. I used to have some good times. The place is awesome. It gets a little crowded, but so much fun. I love the upstairs lounging area. Good times. I think everyone should try it once.

Really liked the atmosphere here - not typical nightlife. Went to the liars club with some girlfriends of mine. I really loved the atmosphere and the drinks I thought were reasonably priced. One girlfriend had a birthday and the waiter was really sweet and brought a comp drink for her. I would go back and try to work my magic some more. Had fun.

The bar for local rock-and-rollers and the hard-drinking populace.. The Scene
Liar's Club attracts locals who can appreciate the finer moments of the last 20-plus years of rock and roll with a Pabst Blue Ribbon. With a laid-back atmosphere, a dirty sound system and an impressive selection of classic KISS memorabilia, Liar's Club draws a crowd of regulars and fills with yuppies and college crew on the weekends.

The Draw
Formerly hosting Chicago's longest running drum-and-bass night (Dubshack's "Brockout"), Liar's Club now calls itself home to the same DJs on the third Thursday of the month with "Cosmic Breaks presents Root" for the same $5 cover charge. But on weekdays, it's a perfect place to hear your favorite forgotten rock classics. Wednesdays serve up "What a Way to Go-Go" and $2 Maker's Mark specials, while Friday and Saturday give way to dance music, mixed drinks and an opened second floor (complete with pool table and even a KISS pinball machine) to accommodate the weekend crowd.

Best dance club in Chicago. Everyone and anyone seems to come here -- I've seen the most diverse crowds in Chicago at Liar's Club. Punks, hipsters, Trixies all seem to get along just fine and DJs cater to everyone by playing Danzig then Nelly then Peter Murphy then Prince. The bartenders aren't all that friendly, but they'll serve you swiftly. If you're looking to escape the crowd, head upstairs. You can't hear the downstairs DJ and punk is blaring, but a second bar will surely be less crowded. Don't miss the old-time photo booth on the first floor.
