Road-ragers finally have a fun way to release their pent-up driving angst.. What's WhirlyBall
WhirlyBall is more than a place--it's a game. It blends the accuracy of basketball, the mobility (or lack thereof) of bumper cars and the teamwork of lacrosse into one sport. Teams of at least five compete against each other to see who can scoop, pass and shoot a Wiffle Ball into a 7-foot-high goal the most times. Two or three points are awarded depending on the distance of the shot. If it sounds like a lot of fun, it is. It's also a good place for corporate outings, birthday parties and other group events.

Where to Play
There are two WhirlyBall locations in the metro area, one in Chicago and one in Lombard (630-932-4800). The Chicago location includes an adjacent sports bar, arcade and food; the Lombard location is less decked out, but prices are lower.
