LIAR! THIEF! BUYER BEWARE! DISHONEST!!!. AAAAAWFUL!!!!! As if my first experience wasn't terrible enough (years ago I bought my first mink jacket here and it shedded everywhere like a sick dog) ....I had to go back for more punishment!! I took Howard (owner) a faux fur a year ago to sale while I traveled abroad. I called periodically over the past year asking if my coat sold and I "never" received a return call. I finally spoke to him personally on January 23, 2012 and he said the coat had "JUST" sold (YEAH RIGHT!). Come to find out he gave the coat to a third party who marked it up faaaar beyond the $ he promised to pay me. She sold it, gave him the proceeds, and here I sit waiting to be paid. On 1/23/2012 he told me he was placing my check in the mail. I have yet to see it two weeks later. His business partner told "I gave Howard the $ when I sold your coat for him. If he hasn't paid you yet, he must not have it so you just need to be patient." How in the hell are you going to sell my coat., receive and spend the proceeds, and have your business partner tell me I need to be patient! Are you serious???? As soon as I get out of the sky and back on ground I'm writing the BBB and headed straight to the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court to sue his deceptive tail. AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL business professional. NO CHARACTER, NO INTEGRITY. BEWARE!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! YOU'LL REGRET JUST LIKE ME!!!

Love my new shearling. I am petite and always feel chilled in cold weather so this year I wanted to prepare myself for a snowy winter with a warm coat. I got excellent help from the owner and found a coat that actually fits, is stylish, and is very warm and soft inside. The price was right when compared to full price retail as the coat is excellent quality and will last me many seasons.

cheap ugg boots. Some popular shades in women brogue shoes are black, brown, grey, nude, khaki, neutral tan, and taupe. You can also buy double shaded shoes or those featuring floral prints for a unique look. These shoes are not only very pretty but also exude a perfect feminine appeal. These shoes make a sophisticated casual wear.

Friendly before you pay, horrific once you are committed. I was excited to have a fur blanket/bed cover made from a gorgeous Fox coat and a wonderful mink coat that I had. They were helpful at the beginning - but it took three tries to get it right - and it was still NOT right - but I accepted it as I was disgusted with dealing with them. We designed it on paper - and it never came back the way it was designed - the first time the person who did the work pieced the mink fur together with the fur running in opposite directions and butting up together in the middle of the blanket. Also, I paid $65 a yard for the silk backing material - I was HORRIFIED at how they treated the roll - when they returned the leftover to me they had let it sit on the floor unprotected and the end was soiled and scuffed - it was as if they had never handled a high end material before - and the final product was nothing at all like they said it would be - what we had drawn on paper. I finally decided to take the blanket on the third try - it wasn't what I had wanted but it was all together and usable. The owner, when I was paying the balance, paused, like he was waiting for ME to ask for a discount due to the horrific experience - when I didn't he charged me the full price - he seemed glad that I didn't ask. This experience showed me that he cares more about money than he does about customer satisfaction, and I decided to NEVER go there again for anything and NEVER recommend them to anyone. Should you ever buy a coat there, get a guarantee in writing that it is what they say it is and that the condition is guaranteed. Then take it to a reputable furrier and have both the quality and the condition confirmed. If you need repair work done, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Buy here, but clean at home. I would buy here, but I would use a fur home cleaning kit to clean the fur like Lana's Fur Cleaning Kit

Of no use to them once sale is made.. I recently did business with Chicago Fur Outlet. After the sale I had a few small questions, just curiosities really. So I simply replied to an email conversation that I had with the manager (I'm assuming it was the manager) This is an email conversation that went back and forth many times.

After the sale was done and over with and I was no use to them anymore, I was completely ignored.

To this day, since the time of the sale several weeks ago, I have attempted to my questions answered 3 times and so far I've been completely ignored 3 times.

So if you are of value to them I'm sure you will get answers, but just be prepared that after they get what they want you mean absolutely nothing to them.

Not very professional or customer oriented at all.

Nice staff - buy used furs here cheap, BUT take all other business elsewhere (think shoddy, overpriced). Overall, probably a mediocre place. They get good ratings for used fur selection, and staff are very friendly. However, service - cleaning, repairs, etc (the backbone of a trustworthy furrier) is HIGHLY unreliable, and way OVERPRICED, and the workmanship is suspect at best. Bottom line, steal the best deal fromt hem and take your repairs, storage, treatment business to someone else who cares.

A Bit of a Bilking!. a bit of a bilking! Profile_stars_1

Edit Review? By Anonymous Opens in New Window

I have purchased 2 fur coats from Chicago Fur Outlet. 777 W. Diversey at Halsted. Then, I took in my mom's mink jacket to be cleaned. I paid the $$$, but they NEVER cleaned it, just said they did. Stains were apparent- the same stains as when I brought it in. When confronted- they immediately offered to REALLY clean it and ship it back. There were no protestations on their part. I agreed to give it another try. Now, some stains are gone from the lining, but it still smells just as musty and stale as it originally did. The exact reason that I brought the jacket in to them in the first place. I DO NOT believe it was cleaned on the second go-around, either. I'm disgusted, and I won't be back. In my opinion, they are not trustworthy. Beware!

Warm up for winter with a new or resale jacket or coat from this Lincoln Park furrier.. The Scene
Coats are the main decoration in this fur-filled shop, adorned with full-length mirrors, a place to sit in the back, racks of furs and little else. Come prepared to browse through the coats with an open mind. You may not find exactly what you intended, but you'll definitely find a wide variety of good-quality merchandise.

The Goods
Shop for all styles of fur jackets, coats, stoles, and wraps for men and women in a variety of colors. With a mix of new and resale merchandise, finding the right coat in the right size is a bit hit-or-miss. Rabbit fur coats start at $500 and minks at $1000. Aside from coats, there are hats, earmuffs, boas, headbands, muffs, and cushions. The store offers alterations, repairs, cleaning and storage of any furs. Storage is $30 a garment. Alterations are free as long as they aren't major, and monograms are free.
