The Scene
This toy store and party center pleases children of all ages. Merchandise is stacked along shelves and tables throughout the space. While somewhat crowded, the merchandise is
clearly--and helpfully--labeled for appropriate age groups, starting with infants. A whimsical selection of 10- to 25-cent novelty items like plastic rings, charms and Superballs fill red plastic bins. Browsing is encouraged, and the staff is friendly.
The Goods
Arts and crafts are the standout here, with many projects to choose from. You'll find a good selection of books, stuffed animals, games, Disney paraphernalia and decorative items. The shop also sells many novelty and retro toys. Available for the irrepressible comedian or class clown are juvenile joke standards like rubber chickens, whoopee cushions and plastic "fake" items--like already chewed gum.
