Be prepared to pay through the nose!

Needed a drain pump for a washer - went to the store and they charged me $50.00. I thought that was kind of steep so I checked their website. Same part is $36 on their own website! Other websites had the same part for around $25.00.
I can forgive a few extra bucks for the convenience of picking up a part rather than ordering online, but a 50% markup?? Puleeeeese. I called them to ask about it and they said the price is more in-store because there's more labor involved. errr...yeah...I want a job there, as apparently their 'labor' makes $100 an hour based on their in-store mark up.
- Cons: Expensive, Poor Customer Service
Best customer service around!

I picked up the parts I thought I needed to fix my dryer. After replacing the old parts, my problem remained. So, I called the guys at Midwest Appliance and they let me talk to their service representative who walked me through the steps of changing out a different part based on the symptoms I described.
When my efforts failed I called back one more time (a bit frantic), and the service man said he would be over later that afternoon to fix everything back up. In the end, I was only charged for the parts (even though he did a lot more work than he expected)! What fantastic customer service!!! Thanks so much Midwest Appliance! You've just gained a lifelong customer.
- Pros: Helpful insight over the phone
- Cons: No returns

If you're like me I like to do it MYSELF. That missing screw. That faulty switch. That silly little piece of hardware that holds the dishwasher flush with the granite. Whatever you need, they have it. Nice guys too. Thanks so much!
- Pros: Customer service, selection
