The Scene
While the bartender pulls you a pint, ask him to pull down a pair of size 9s from the array of bowling shoes shelved behind the art deco-style bar. Even if you don't bowl, Lucky Strike is a good place to cool your heels with the 30 beers on tap (plus 40 in bottles) and every type of alcohol imaginable.
The Lanes
Four of the eight mechanical lanes are open on a first-come, first-served basis, while the other four are in a private party room, available to the general public if not reserved. If the hardwood looks well-worn for an alley that opened in 1995, it's because it was purchased from a 50-year-old alley in Indiana. Before your lane opens you can wander through the bar's five rooms or shoot pool at a handful of regulation tables. Or stare at the '20s-era mural, which adds a touch of nostalgia.

This is my first review, so obviously I must have liked this place to bother. My roommate and I were looking for a fun bar to hang out in that played great music, had cheap drinks, and a fun crowd. It was starting to look like a tall order until we found Seven Ten. Awesome music (classic rock and all those songs you can sing-a-long to), plus their drink prices are pretty reasonable. Not to mention that they are a White Sox bar on the Northside. We didn't try the food, but for about an hour of pool and six beers, our tab was only $30. The bartenders are friendly, and service is good.

We had a great time at this place! Although we were "tourists," we were hanging out with our local friends...therefore, we had fun bowling and drinking at a reasonable price. The one thing you MUST KNOW before you go is how to score by hand because they do not have the television screens, or that normal ball return that you see at AMF. This is OLD SCHOOL, as it should be. Fortunately, I took a bowling class in college, so we didn't have any problems scoring the game (I got a B on my final, and did well on the bowling score section). So yeah, I recommend it to everyone!

Trying to take in this place is too much work. Nothing is organized in an easy flow, plus it costs a fortune. The food is good, but it isn't difficult to make good burgers & sandwiches. What ever happened to a great bowling alley joint.
