I LOVE SHIMI!. Shimi is amazing! She understands what I want, and REALLY works to keep it long for me- no problems with going too short and undoing all the growth I'm working on. Always makes it chic and glamorous- last time I stopped by work right after, and every MAN there gave me a compliment! Very friendly, too- my friend does my color, and when we asked her advice, she was willing to help. And, she remembers particulars about me from visit to visit- where I work, when I'm getting married, what I prefer for shape/ length/ bangs, etc. It took me a while to find a stylist and I'm SOOO glad I stumbled onto her. Worth every penny- don't be put off that it's an "italian" salon.

best service in the city. My first time at Carissima Salon i had excellent experience. Everyone that worked there was very welcoming and friendly. From the minute i walked in i felt comfortable. Ashley who is one of their many stylist cut my hair and did a great job. She did exactly what i wanted. I recommend you go there and experience the salon for yourself!!!

Great for short haircut. Wendy is great with my very short and straight hair. She always does a gret job and the shape lasts for a very long time.

Great talent and excellent service!. Honestly, this is the best salon i've ever been too! I have never felt compeled to right a review about a business until now. Carissima offers a great atmosphere and a friendly, attentive and knowledgable staff. I'm so so extremely pleased! Finally a high end salon that delivers on its promises and without the pretentiousness...I am definitely going to be a regular here!

Worst Experience Ever!!!!!!. Do not trust these people with your hair!!!! I went in for single-process color to cover grey near my crown. The owner hovered over the inexperienced stylist and told her what to do. After she washed the color out, the grey was still there. Not only did she touch up my roots she also applied color to the side of my face and forehead. I was there for 3 hours and when I left, they charged me for doing two processes when it was clearly their fault, not mine. Not only are they clueless, they also charge for their incompetence. How do they stay in business????

Great Mens Haircuts. I just moved into the neighborhood and a buddy of mine told me to go see Shimi at Carissima. The atmosphere was very comfortable. The shampoo was very relaxing. Shimi listened to the look I was going for and did it exactly like I asked. Its worth the commute if you dont live in the area and stop over at Duke of Perth for a great scotch after.

Kathryn the Great. I swear by this, the best eyebrows in the city. It does not matter if it's your first wax, a corrective wax (I reffered a friend who had and eyebrow almost completely removed by a previous waxer) or a special event Kathryn will make you look great.

the Holy Grail of brazilians!!!. Kathryn is a goddess, when it comes to a brazilian bikini wax. It took all of 8 minutes, barely hurt, and left no irritation and stickiness afterwards.

I've been getting brazilians for years now, and this was my best experience thus far. I even took 20 of Kathryn's business cards, and now am recommending her to everyone I know.

Plus, you can't beat the price - starting at $45.
