My wife can ballroom dance and I can not. I thought for our wedding it would be nice if I could pull off at least one dance that looked like I knew what I was doing. We took a handful of private lessons from Mari and she was very patient and helpful. I can't say I'm a terrific dancer, but I idid improve a great deal and our first dance went very well. (also, we took a few swing group dance classes which we also enjoyed)

The center suggests that female students wear medium to low-heeled shoes with smooth or leather soles to prevent slipping. Thick, rubber-soled shoes tend to grip the floor and strain the joints.

Give the gift of twinkle toes by going to the center's website to purchase a gift certificate. Gift cards can be purchased in any denomination.
Parking:
If you can't find parking on Lincoln, Byron or Damen, try the city lot on the corner of Berenice and Lincoln. The charge is 25 cents an hour.
