I was a customer of Dr. Sood for over a decade. I have sent dozens of new customers to Dr.Sood because I respected him as a dentist and as a professional. Unfortunately I was wrong.

During a routine cleaning, the hygienist got fluoride paste in my eye. Within a short period of time it burned and became swollen. I was forced to go on antibiotics from my doctor. I contacted Dr. Sood to let him know and he asked me to come in put Visine in my eye! Appalling! It turns out he was just looking to get photos of my eye. When I told him it was getting worse he said not to worry and he would send photos to his ophthalmologist friend who would get back to me. I told Dr.Sood that the pain was worse and my doctor recommended if it got worse to go to the ER. Dr. Sood said not to go and to wait a week. I went to the ER only to find out the infection was so bad I could have gone blind! I ended cancelling flights at Christmas and spending the next three weeks at home on painkillers. Dr. Sood promised to reimburse for the bills. I tried contacting him 3 times regarding reimbursement and he refused to reply. I was forced to FedEx them to his office.

UPDATE: Nearly eight weeks since the incident occurred and over four weeks since Dr. Sood was given the copies of my medical bills to pay, and Dr. Sood continues to ignore any correspondence. I am out of pocket over $10,000 in expenses related to the incident and the good dentist pretends that the incident never happened. Neither his lawyer nor Dr. Sood himself will respond to letters, emails or phone calls. Despite a promise from Dr. Sood to pay all bills in December, Dr. Sood appears to think ignoring them will make them go away.

I would have hoped that he would eventually do the right thing and pay the bills, but with the amount of time and silence that have passed, I trust he has decided he no longer needs to reimburse me for his negligence.

Dr. Sood's actions/inactions are a good judge of his character, ethics and professionalism.

Amazing Dentist and Human Being. I have been a patient of Dr. Soods for 7 years. My dad was in town from colorado.It was a Sunday, were painting inside my house when the metal paint tray fell off the ladder and smacked my dad in the lip and chipped his tooth. I called Dr. Soods answering service right away to see if we could get in first thing Monday morning. 15 MINUTES LATER DR. SOOD CALLED BACK AND SAID" HOW SOON CAN YOU GET YOUR DAD DOWN TO THE OFFICE" Yes this is all happening on a Sunday afternoon! He took an xray first and it looked okay then Dr. Sood fixed the chip, and it looks so natural. You can't even see where it was. My dad was so impressed with Dr. Sood. He really was our hero that day. I will never go anywhere else

Best Dentist Ever!!!!!!. I enjoy my visits to Dr. Sood's office. I was referred to Dr.Sood by a friend. I was immediatly impressed with Dr.Sood and his staff. The staff is very friendly. I go there for my cleanings and I have had my teeth cleaned by Cathy and Lavonette - both the girls are amazing and very gentle and extreamly nice.

I liked Dr.Sood and his staff so much that I even referred my mom to him.... She needed to have a tooth pulled which she had been putting off for a while…Dr.Sood was so caring and gentle with her. He even called her in the evening to make sure she was doing ok. I was so impressed at how caring and genuine Dr.Sood was. I would highly recomend Dr.Sood to anyone looking for a new dentist!

Don't worry, It's Dr. Sood!. Hands down, the best dental experiences I have ever had. Dr. Sood was referred to me 7+ years ago and I have been going to him since. His staff is super friendly and welcoming, the facilities are nice and Dr. Sood really takes the time to ensure your personal comfort and well-being. I enjoy my visits to the dentist (go figure) and definitely know I am in good hands! Location is super convenient in Lincoln Park via car or bus, easy hours and a great overall experience which is not something normal for dentist visits! I highly recommend him to anyone who asks, I have actually referred quite a few friends who all have had similar experiences! Highly recommended! Thanks Dr. Sood and staff!

BEST DENTAL SERVICE!. I was referred to Dr. Sood by a friend 6 years ago and have been going to him ever since! I am always pleasantly greeted by the friendly staff and never have to wait long in the waiting room! Dr. Sood is caring, professional and takes his time to make you feel comfortable. The location is great - in the heart of Lincoln Park and parking is easy to find. The best part is how relaxed and fun the environment is, yet you receive the BEST dental service! I have referred Dr. Sood to anyone I meet who is lookiing for a professional and personable dentist with expert skills! Thanks Dr. Sood and the entire staff!

BEST DENTIST IN CHICAGO. I've experienced a lot of dentists over the last 40 years. Most of them have not been good much less the experience. I was the guy that would go every three or so years or only when something was wrong. I met Dr. Sood through a mutual friend and I have been seeing him regularly over the last three years and have not missed an appointment. He is the most thorough dentist I've ever been to as well as a very professional staff. Also, every time I've been there I have never had a wait. They brought me right in and I was out in no time. I now refer all my friends and family to Dr. Sood. Thanks Dr. Sood!

Look no further...BEST dentist!. I have been going to Dr. Sood, twice a year for the last 13 years. I was lucky enough to end up there because of the great location?but stayed because of the amazing care I have received from Dr. Sood and his staff. Expert dental care (the best shot giver ?just a little pinch?- truly), great dental hygienists (painless!) and friendly reception/record keeping (reasonable) have added to my positive experience w/ Dr. Sood.

I honestly send friends, family and anyone who asks ?Know any good dentists?? to Dr. Sood. If you are looking for a knowledgeable dental team with a great sense of humor and a warm environment?look no further, call Dr. Sood ASAP! Did I mention he also does Invisalign (braces)?

Professional Friendly Staff, State of the Art Equipment,Clean beautiful office, Great location, Valet parking. I was referred to Dr. Sood 8 years ago when I moved back to Chicago. I was immediately impressed by his chair side manner and his professionalism. I have never had to wait more then 5 minutes in the waiting room for an appointment. He has a great staff. I have also referred several very satisfied friends to his practice. I moved to Lake Forest 2 years ago. I never thought I would commute an hour to a dentist appointment. I highly recommend Dr Sood.

Great Dental Service in Chicago. My first visit to this office took away any anxiety. Their professional but yet personal treatment was very comforting for someone like me. I found their care and service to be excellent and a positive experience. I have sent my children and have recommended my friends to their office.

Best Dental Experience. EXCELLENT DENTAL EXPERIENCE!!! Nice staff, careful and wise. Made the dentist actually enjoyable. Dentist is personable, and the staff knows your name when you walk in the door. I felt like there was actually someone on my side, who understood my fear of the dentist and made me feel comfortable.
