My family and I have been patrons of the New Star Restaurant for about 30 years. We have never been disappointed. The service is very good, the food is served hot and fresh, and the prices are reasonable. Start with the WonTon soup and/or eggrolls, and then try one of the entrees. If you're with a group, order several different items from the menu, and share and sample each. The Sweet and Sour Chicken and Egg Foo Young are both excellent, as are many of the other dishes. The New Star has a small parking lot East of the restaurant on North Ave., and street parking is also available.

health dept needs to pay a visit

Many people told me for years not to eat here but I didnt' listen because I liked the food. My family had it delivered at least once a week for years. Well, few months ago a friend told me he found a rusty nail in his dinner. They just blamed it on the produce crate - apparently they don't wash their produce. Then today I found a dead six legged creature in my dinner. Now I will finally listen to the people who have told me they have been cited many times by the health dept.
