This is one of my favorites spots to visit in Chicago! Why would anyone living here not take advantage of this free zoo? The animals are all adorable and its always clean. And unlike some other zoos, these animals are always around! The lions love to put on a show roaring and attracting a huge crowd... quite amazing to experience!
- Pros: Great mix of animals, clean, FREE
- Cons: None
FREE! FREE! FREE!

This zoo is amazing because you can literally be standing there staring at the animals and have the unique experience of seeing the Chicago skyline behind them. It's small, but you can definitely spend a few hours wandering around. The orangatung house is great, especially if you are lucky enough to go often, as they have had many births over the past few years and its fun to watch the progress of the young ones. The only drawback is the parking situations and the hordes of school children.
- Pros: free admission, easy to get to
- Cons: parking is difficult

This zoo had many exotic animals. It was very benefical for me in particular, because i got to see my favorite animal, which is a Lion. Everytime I take my kids they want to go back the next week, because they are taken back by the variety of animals.
- Pros: Great place to take your kids
- Cons: Not enough parking

One of the best place to be in Chicago. It's clean, friendly, and safe oh and yes it's free! Can't ask for a better time. Animals have access to both indoor cages, private room, and outdoor leaving areas. Seems some people didn't realize that.
