“It's cheap and the food is pretty good and it comes out pretty quickly.”

Top notch Chinese food with amazing lung specials. Try the orange chicken & Kung pao
Not Good. Dined at Moon Palace after The Chinese New Year Day Parade. Ordered Shrimp with Lobster sauce, it was horrible. Consistency was very slimey and did not have much flavor. The servers behaved like drill sargents and were NOT friendly at all...not sure if it was a bad day to eat there but needless to say, I will not be returning for seconds.
moon is good. Moon Palace is a great pick for an authentic Chinese restaurant without the bizarre and creepy dishes. I have been to many chinese restaurants in Chinatown and Moon Palace is the best. Its clean and food is always high quality.
Best Chineese Food ever.
I was introduced to Moon Palace by my college roomates Chineese sister-in-law and have been going back ever since. The ambiance is great, as it is very well kept up. It is constantly busy, but not busy to the point that you can't find a seat. My husband swears by their orange chicken. I personally am a huge fan of their sweet and sour chicken. It is one of the few places that doesn't do oversized deep fried peices with too much grease. The chicken is cooked perfectly. I also love all of their soups. They are well prepared and truely are a meal in themself. My brother when he is in from new york will request to go here for the peking duck. He said it is the best he has ever had. The service is wonderful, I may not go for a few months but they still remember what I like on the menu.
I have tried other restaraunts in china town, and none of them compare. In addition, you tend to get more of the chicago crowd and not the touristy crowd.
This is a must eat!!!
Warm Environment Great Food. Having recently moved to Chicago from Northern California and searching for familiar Chinese cuisine, I stumbled across the Moon Palace Resturant. What a wonderful experience; the quality, service and pleasant environment are winners. My family and I consider it a special place for many occasions and highly suggest it.
Excellent Food. I have been frequenting Moon Palace for over 4 years now, and the experience always seems to get better. I first went here with a college roommate and her sister in law, who is from China. The menu offers both authentic and americanized chineese dishes, the portions are huge (the wonton soup could be a meal in itself), the food is fresh, the ambiance is romantic, and the service is great. Also, the price is comprable to any other restaraunt in Chinatown. If you go during the week, you get quite a deal with their lunch specials. This remains my favorite Chinese restaraunt.
Positive experience. My first visit to Chicago's Chinatown, a friend brought me here on a recommendation by another friend. The food was great, served quickly, and by a very friendly and attentive waitress in a clean environment.
Yummy, Yummy!!!.
Moon Palace is my all-time favorite restaurant in Chinatown. This is authentic Shanghai food and is 10+ on my scale.
Be sure to try the green onion pancake, the pork steamed dumplings, and the Shanghai fried noodle.
Hmmmmm....good eats!
Moon me over. I Just moved to San Diego and I can honestly say that I am going to miss moon Plalce most of all. I loved every dish I ever tried. And what I miss most is that I would always go there with my friends.
