Don't expect friendly service and you have to wait in line (sometimes outside) just for a seat on Friday and Saturday nights but the excellent food and unbeatable price point makes the trip worth it. Bring cups with your wine to drink in line and definitely request to grill you bulgogi and other marinated goodies tableside!

One of the best Korean.
Not much in terms of ambiance, but small, home-type place with excellent food. I'm surprized at complaints about the service: we found it prompt, very friendly and helpful. Two people in our group tried the Korean the first time and they loved it.
Highly recommended.

Yummy!. If you're looking for some authentic Korean, go to Cho Sun OK. It is a "hole in the wall" type of atmosphere, but when you eat the food you feel like you've found a hidden treasure. The grill the meat at your table is great, but don't forget to try the naeng myun. I know people from other states that come to Cho Sun OK for their naeng myun!

More than 'OK'. Small building, but authentic and well worth the wait if there's a line. We went on Monday night and had to wait about 20 mins. Excellent, flavorful food but the service is not great.

Yummy. Best Korean restaurant I've found 2 years I have been in Chicago. Great food, ok service but above all great value.

NO FRILLS KOREAN FOOD.
Probably the only decent Korean restaurant in the Chicago area. Totally lacking in atmosphere, but the food is solid.
Fire up the grill and enjoy! Service is very good, compared to other Korean places.

Authentic Korean Food. Cho Sun Ok is by far the best Korean restaurant in Chicago. Recommend the "grill at your table" meat - Cha Dol- thinly sliced beef. After the meal the waitstaff make fried rice at your table! Its awesome. Sides come with the entree and by far its definitely the best value!
