Best Sandwhiches in Roscoe Village!. Roscoe Village has a landmark, and its Costello's. Most people when you ask them if they have ever been to Roscoe Village they say, yeah that have that killer sandwhich shop there!!

I ate there before I moved to RV and years later when I moved across the street from it, it became a staple in my diet for sure!

I usually get the italian since I am a creature of habit, but all of their sandwhiches are top notch and reasonably priced too!

The pasta salads are ok, nothing great but I go there for the sandwhiches.

Where is the beef?. I gotta tell you, I want to like this place because i live so close to it...I cant call the sandwich bad because there is not enough meat in the sandwich to even judge. I just had a smokin turk, and I swear to God it was 98% bread and lettuce and 2% turkey. I think the owners must be so cheap and so worried about the bottom line, they wont even put turkey in a turkey sandwich. The only thing that will save them is the Rosco Location. The foot traffic is crazy, so they will do fine even though the place it mediocre at best. Save your money, even subway (yuk) is better, and that ain't sayin much.

Huge variety of distinctly great sandwiches. This is such a great sandwich shop! Fun, good ambiance, the service is very friendly, and they have a huge variety of sandwiches. I LOVE the Turkey Foccacia, the Turkey Reuben, and the Smokin' Turk (can't tell I like turkey, eh). But the Horseradish Roast Beef is pretty awesome too. Good side dishes. It's nice to sit out on their back yard patio during warm weather. You can also get a milkshake!

Pretty Good, Unique. I had this delivered and it arrived on time and was still warm when it did, suprising because I live about as far as you can in their delivery area. The best part about this place is its originality, you can eat a sandwich anywhere but they came up with some pretty good varieties on sandwiches and their sides are very unique. Decent price for what you get in the city. I will be ordering from here again.

Where's the Meat??. I ordered a Turkey Pastrami.....and the sandwich had a decent taste but the problem was they there was only 2 slices of Turkey Pastrami. If you want to pay $6 for a kraut sandwhich this is the place. Also i had a side of potatoes and they were dry. Not Good at All.

Great sandwich. I had seen this place several times while out shopping. Finally, I stopped in and have become a regular. Sandwiches are some of the best and service is very nice. What a great vallue too. I am now a regular customer. Highly recommended for your sandwich craving...forget Subway.

Colorful Roscoe Village favorite serves great baked sandwiches and fresh-made sides.. The Scene
With its brightly painted, beat-up chairs and patterned tables, sunny Costello's overflows on weekends with sandwich-lovin' young Roscoe Villagers. Order at the counter from one of the friendly employees, then score one of the handful of tables. During warmer weather, additional seating is available at sidewalk tables and at a back patio.

The Food
It's no idle boast when Costello's claims to make "Chicago's finest oven-baked sandwiches." For proof, order the Costello, a spicy, zesty classic piled high with mortadella, hot capicola and provolone with marinated artichokes, tomato, black olives, roasted red pepper and lettuce, then baked till crisp. Pepper turkey packs a wallop, and Italian meatball is tender and cheesy. Don't miss the house-made Costello sides, like sweet corn pasta salad, mustard-mayo potato salad and red-skin mashed potatoes (a small size is more than enough for most appetites). Sandwiches are also available "un-baked." Several vegetarian options (baked caprese, for example) round out the menu.

Best Sandwich on the planet. I recommend the hot ones, especially the Smokin' Turk'. I can't get enough of this place. Incredible. Puts PotBelly's to shame.

BEST SANDWICH EVER!!. Both the Italian Grinder and the Pepper Turkey sandwich are the best on this entire planet! This place is always crowded, but the line moves fast and it is really pleasant to eat on the back patio..you gotta try it!

There is no better place. The food here is second to absolutely none when you are craving a fresh sandwich with the works. Fresh ingredients served toasty warm are the food cravings are made of.

I highly recommend this place to all!
