Fair choice, good food. I'm not a much of drinker, so I cannot say anything either way for their beer selections. As for their food, I have to issue high marks. The other reviews are well in summing up that there is certainly variety in a meat-eater/veggie menu. Veggie burgers, hummus, and a couple other dishes occupy space on the menu and have a thumbs-up backing by friends who frequent the Tap. The service can be less than prompt, but the food makes it forgivable.…
Roscoe Village pub. A cool, relaxed place with good drinks NO club heads or stiffs here A nice change of pace from the typical pub
Laid-back Roscoe Village types flock to this neighborhood hangout for its great beer selection and beer garden..
The Scene
The walls serve as gallery space, filled with pieces by local artists; the rest of the long room is filled out with a pinball machine, two TVs and a jukebox filled with rock
(current, classic, indie) and lounge standards. A year-round beer garden has picnic benches, round tables with umbrellas, a retractable roof and a popular fireplace.
The Draw
The food is better than the typical bar offerings, with kickin' six-gun vegetarian chili and garlicky hummus rounding out the usual suspects of burgers, burritos and salads. Grilled chicken quesadillas are surprisingly light and fresh, not the greasy mess you might expect at a local tavern. The Tap has one of the best beer selections in the city, offering more than 30 drafts and a wide array of Midwestern microbrews.…
THE Hangout. A cool, relaxed place for drinking a lot of beer. No club types or any stuffed shirts. The neighborhood is awesome. Needs more English Ale though.
Awesome!. Great beer selection and some of the best bar food you'll find in the city. There aren't too many places where you can go with both carnivores and vegetarians and have everyone be satisfied, but this definitely will do just that. Also the owner of one of the best beer gardens in Chicago!…
