The Scene
This Wicker Park boutique stocks one-of-a-kind quality finds. Two small rooms, with clothes tightly packed on the racks, make up this hip-yet-unpretentious consignment store. With its intimate size and friendly staff, a trip to Lenny & Me feels like raiding your cool older sister's closet--you never know what you'll find, but you're bound to find something you want.
The Goods
Because clothes come in daily from consigners, every day is a new reason to check the racks. Stylish, affordable garments include professional and risque, vintage and contemporary. Selections change quickly, and there's always something on sale, with prices ranging from $14 retro skirts to $200 dresses. Bebe, Betsey Johnson, Express and Kenneth Cole are readily available. There's also a modest selection of shoes, handbags, wallets, hair clips, hats and jewelry.

I wouldn't say this is the best consignment store in the city but it's definitely one of the best in the Wickerpark/Bucktown area. Most used clothing stores, particularly on Milwaukee, are trashy, stinky, over-hyped, and certainly overpriced. Lenny & Me is a breath of fresh air (quite literally actually). I love that they carry furniture, furnishings, and accessories in addition to clothing without being overwhelming. The store is the perfect size so you're not sifting through clothes for hours on end. Most of the clothing is in great condition, none of the items looked decrepit or stunk. I also appreciate that I don't have to sift through racks and racks of unattractive clothing; the buyer for the store really has great taste. There really are some fantastic and unique pieces here. With regard for the previous review about the store not buying her designer clothing: it's clear the store has a very specific aesthetic (mostly pretty vintage, feminine 70s stuff), you won't find tailored black pants and designer suits here.

This little clothes store has some great finds. Many of the clothes are from the '60s and '70s and still in great shape. I like it because they are re-used and stylish. The prices are higher than in most re-use shops, but that's because they've done a lot of digging for you. Bonus is the good music usually on in the background.

I have shopped here 3 times and once tried to sell my "designer" clothes here. Most of the clothing they have is junk, and in bad condition. It is ok for accessories for not for clothing. They would not consign any of my clothing, even though it was Versace, Armani, etc., they claimed they do not sell that type of clothing. There are so many other nice stores along the Milwaukee Avenue, that I would recommend to forego this spot. Plus they act like you are bothering them if you ask them a question, or to ring up. I did not like this shop, nor their snobby attitude.

Know Before You Go:
Consigners need at least five clothing items to open an account. If something sells, there's a 50/50 profit split between customer and shop. If the clothes don't sell within 60 days, Lenny & Me donates the goods to a women's charity.
The Extras:
Lenny & Me now sells makeup like the Austrian-based Bloom and the new and hard-to-find Rocket City cosmetic line.
