The Scene – This Wicker Park boutique stocks one-of-a-kind quality finds. Two small rooms, with clothes tightly packed on the racks, make up this hip-yet-unpretentious consignment store. With its intimate size and friendly staff, a trip to Lenny & Me feels like raiding your cool older sister's closet--you never know what you'll find, but you're bound to find something you want. – – The Goods – Because clothes come in daily from consigners, every day is a new reason to check the racks. Stylish, affordable garments include professional and risque, vintage and…

Editor's Tips

Know Before You Go:
Consigners need at least five clothing items to open an account. If something sells, there's a 50/50 profit split between customer and shop. If the clothes don't sell within 60 days, Lenny & Me donates the goods to a women's charity.
The Extras:
Lenny & Me now sells makeup like the Austrian-based Bloom and the new and hard-to-find Rocket City cosmetic line.

A fantastic store for those who share it's aesthetic

by fabulyss at Citysearch

I wouldn't say this is the best consignment store in the city but it's definitely one of the best in the Wickerpark/Bucktown area. Most used clothing stores, particularly on Milwaukee, are trashy, stinky, over-hyped, and certainly overpriced. Lenny & Me is a breath of fresh air (quite literally actually). I love that they carry furniture, furnishings, and accessories in addition to clothing without being overwhelming. The store is the perfect size so you're not sifting through clothes for hours on end. Most of the clothing is in great condition, none of the items looked decrepit or stunk. I also appreciate that I don't have to sift through racks and racks of unattractive clothing; the buyer for the store really has great taste. There really are some fantastic and unique pieces here. With regard for the previous review about the store not buying her designer clothing: it's clear the store has a very specific aesthetic (mostly pretty vintage, feminine 70s stuff), you won't find tailored black pants and designer suits here.

  • Pros: Far better prices & merchandise compared to most other WP/BCKTN stores
  • Cons: A few items here & there are still a little overpriced

Not so Great - Buyer Beware

by sillybillyteely at Citysearch

I have shopped here 3 times and once tried to sell my "designer" clothes here. Most of the clothing they have is junk, and in bad condition. It is ok for accessories for not for clothing. They would not consign any of my clothing, even though it was Versace, Armani, etc., they claimed they do not sell that type of clothing. There are so many other nice stores along the Milwaukee Avenue, that I would recommend to forego this spot. Plus they act like you are bothering them if you ask them a question, or to ring up. I did not like this shop, nor their snobby attitude.

A+ + one Shop u have to stop in

by heatha_ at Citysearch

I loved this shop the second i layed eyes on it. I live in kansas city, mo. and I'm currently a fashion editor, i go shopping a lot and while i was in town i window shopped on evening, although most shops closed, after viewing Lenny and me from the outside i decided to stay another night just to peak in and look around. That night i got very sick and was on my way home. I insisted my boyfriend to turn around and go back. We drove about 1 hour all the way back to go to this store and i was still ill.

I fell inlove!! ONE OF CHICAGO'S Best STORES if you like clothing and simple things and your on a budget this is the Place to go A+ + High point in my whole trip to Chicago!!! A++++ wish i could order online

  • Pros: Good selection, Hot items, suits anybody

Consign = Fine

There's a nice variety of funky clothing here for the ladies. For a fella that's lookin' to get a gift for his SO, there's a lot of unique accessories from which to choose. Handmade items like jewelery as well as hand knit mittens, scarves and hats are good bets to treat your gal.

  • Pros: Nice Art on the walls, close to bongo room, helpful n cute clerks
  • Cons: parking is tough
