Editorial Review for Lenny & Me – by Holiday Dmitri
The Scene
This Wicker Park boutique stocks one-of-a-kind quality finds. Two small rooms, with clothes tightly packed on the racks, make up this hip-yet-unpretentious consignment store. With its intimate size and friendly staff, a trip to Lenny & Me feels like raiding your cool older sister's closet--you never know what you'll find, but you're bound to find something you want.
The Goods
Because clothes come in daily from consigners, every day is a new reason to check the racks. Stylish, affordable garments include professional and risque, vintage and contemporary. Selections change quickly, and there's always something on sale, with prices ranging from $14 retro skirts to $200 dresses. Bebe, Betsey Johnson, Express and Kenneth Cole are readily available. There's also a modest selection of shoes, handbags, wallets, hair clips, hats and jewelry.

Insider Tips
Know Before You GoConsigners need at least five clothing items to open an account. If something sells, there's a 50/50 profit split between customer and shop. If the clothes don't sell within 60 days, Lenny & Me donates the goods to a women's charity.
The ExtrasLenny & Me now sells makeup like the Austrian-based Bloom and the new and hard-to-find Rocket City cosmetic line.

I have shopped here 3 times and once tried to sell my "designer" clothes here. Most of the clothing they have is junk, and in bad condition. It is ok for accessories for not for clothing. They would not consign any of my clothing, even though it was Versace, Armani, etc., they claimed they do not sell that type of clothing. There are so many other nice stores along the Milwaukee Avenue, that I would recommend to forego this spot. Plus they act like you are bothering them if you ask them a question, or to ring up. I did not like this shop, nor their snobby attitude.

I loved this shop the second i layed eyes on it. I live in kansas city, mo. and I'm currently a fashion editor, i go shopping a lot and while i was in town i window shopped on evening, although most shops closed, after viewing Lenny and me from the outside i decided to stay another night just to peak in and look around. That night i got very sick and was on my way home. I insisted my boyfriend to turn around and go back. We drove about 1 hour all the way back to go to this store and i was still ill. I fell inlove!! ONE OF CHICAGO'S Best STORES if you like clothing and simple things and your on a budget this is the Place to go A+ + High point in my whole trip to Chicago!!! A++++ wish i could order online
Pros: Good selection, Hot items, suits anybody
Cons: items not oranged in
