Editorial Review for Feast – by J.P. Anderson
The Scene
Perched on prime Wicker Park real estate, Feast delivers a rarity for this trendy 'hood: comfortable atmosphere and a better-than-bar-food menu at reasonable prices. Exposed brick walls and bright hanging lights give the main dining area a casual, colorful feel; with its couches and easy chairs, the front bar-lounge area has more of a chill-out vibe. A spacious outdoor patio beckons during the warmer months. Service is casual and friendly.
The Food
Feast's eclectic menu bounces all over the globe, from black bean jalapeno ravioli in a zingy cream sauce to an Asian-influenced plate of tuna sashimi, tuna tartare and smoked salmon stacked between wontons with wasabi. Black mussels with chilies in a white wine cream sauce are full-bodied and flavorful; super crab cakes with chipotle mayo have quite a bite. For more heat-sensitive palates, smoky pork loin with sweet corn polenta's a winner.

I went here with some friends and we had been told it's BYO. So we bring a few bottles. Some person answered their phone telling us "you'll be fine" when we inquired if the corking fee was per bottle or per table. When we got to the restaurant the waitress informed us it was indeed "per bottle". Party of 6, she did not pour a SINGLE glass for us, charged us $30 for uncorking 2 (one was a screw off top) and tacked on gratuity!!!!!! She did not apologize for whomever answered their phone telling us "OH YOU'LL BE FINE". The food was cold and the service was virtually non-exsistent. But the corking fee and gratuity was certainly something she saw to.
Pros: Location
Cons: Tacky service

Food here is phenomenal - breakfast, lunch or dinner. only downside is service is a little suspect but always friendly. Atmosphere is great - especially outside in summer. Some of the best food in all of wicker park / bucktown and maybe even chicago!
