The lovely outdoor patio gives this cafe an edge over the neighbors. Brunch is where it's at.
WEEKEND RITUAL. This has to be the best place in Chicago to start of Saturday morning, its become our ritual. The bloody marys are THE BEST IN CHICAGO, believe me weve tried them everywhere. Our favorite spot to eat and start our day is the bar where our bartender/waiter knows our names and treats us like we were long time friends. Once we walk in he makes us our drinks without asking. Hes GREAT! Not to mention the AWSOME food, its unreal. The staff is great; food is excellent along with fresh atmosphere and music.
Definitely worth a try. The food here is wonderful! Everything from the burgers to the halibut has exceeded my expectations. The staff is attentive; I will say that some servers are better than others (Beth is great). The patio is charming on a nice evening, and they have fabulous wine specials on Mondays and Tuesdays. If you are up for great food and good service, you should give it a try!
Yummy and a good time - who could ask for more?. Boo! to the folks who think this isn't as good as everyone says. I first went to Feast 2 years ago and have been back many times. I've taken advantage of the 1/2-price bottle of wine and eaten a number of items on the menu. Everything I've had was consistently good. This is WAY better than the over-priced, over-hyped Meritage down the street! If it wasn't great the first time, I encourage you to give it another chance!
A Grand Feast!.
One of our fav local spots! The Tortilla Soup, Clams & Crabcakes are to die for....
The BBQ Salmon, Glazed Porkchop & Stuffed Chicken Breast are divine!! The Creme Brulee is superb.... and 1/2 price bottle of wine is a great deal for an excellent dinner out in the city!!!
overrated. Feast did not live up to most of the glowing reviews I had read before making reservations. I arrived with friend at 9:00 on a weeknight. Service was some of the worst I've experienced in the city. Our waiter was abrupt, unfriendly, and made it clear that we were his last table and that he wanted us out the door asap. Tried several times to take both of our plates while we were clearly still eating. As if that wasn't bad enough, the food was uninspired for the price. I will never go back.
Contemporary grill keeps Wickers Parkers coming back for solid food and an easy-like-Sunday-morning vibe..
In Short
Every neighborhood has a default restaurant, where locals always wind up for reliable food. This one would be Wicker Park's, a contemporary cafe that achieves a comfortable atmosphere and upscale food, a rarity for this trendy zip code. More date night or ladies-who-lunch spot than hipster hang, the place boasts contemporary furnishings instead of kitsch, favoring banquette- and four-top seating, colorful dangling lamps and an adjoining lounge where guests can sit by a fire. The "feasts" trot everywhere on the globe, from Wonton Napoleon with tuna sashimi, tuna tartar and smoked salmon to an Indian vegetarian plate.
Don't miss. Feast is an incredible place... offering great food, ambiance and value. I am constantly taking friends to lunch and dinner there. The weekend brunch can't be beat either. As if a great brunch isn't enough, the valet parking is free!
I love this place!. A friend of mine lives in Bucktown. Everytime I visit she jokes that this is the only place I'll eat. There are several great places to eat in the area, but for brunch, Feast is it. The breakfast potato skins and the eggs benedict are fantastic. I'll be back!
Creative Breakfasts. I tried this place for the first time a few Sundays ago. The mimosas were some of the freshest I have had, and it was diffucult to choose between all of the interesting menu items. I finally decided on eggs portabello, and I was not disappointed. This is a place I would definitely like to take someone who was visiting. Cute, cozy, and fabulous food!
A waste of time. Bad service and worse food equal a wasted evening for a big price.
