Fun neigborhood bar. Its very laidback , but fun at the same time. Not dead or over crowded so I like the balance of people. Bartenders are also very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back!

Brunch Yes! Yes Please!. I have to say that I went to the Black Beetle for a bloody mary this weekend and heard that they serve brunch items. I ordered an omelette of the day that was Outstanding. There was even a little cup of fresh fruit with it. Yes, strawberries, orange pieces and mango. It was not super fancy, but it was plentifull and looked and tasted great. The server was super fun and pretty cute. The red potato hash browns are awesome! I always thought this was just a rock n roll night time spot, but they have really added another element of surprise to the table. I stayed for about 3 hours when I was only planning on one bloody. I will definitely be back soon.

so good so fun. I have been going to this restaurant for 3 years and every experience is great. They are always so polite. I have never waited for food or beer very long. The food is so good. I crave their food during the week. They have a TON of beer. Great brands that you have never even heard of and the staff always know how to explain it and know what to recommend. If you like going to relaxed places and hanging out all night, this is perfect. It's bar that you will want to be a regular at!

This Humboldt Park bar is a laid-back neighborhood joint that buzzes on the weekend.. The Scene
Crouching on a lonely stretch of Chicago Avenue, the Black Beetle is increasingly a hive for city dwellers retreating from Wicker Park madness. A classic curved wood and red-neon bar, vintage signage, Beatles-themed tables, wood chairs and brick walls lend an old-school feel, modified by odd bug paraphernalia. The young staff takes good care of the crowd of relaxed, slightly bohemian friends and couples.

The Draw
The draft beer selection is heaven-sent. In summer, Summit Weisse beer or the house brew are choice, while the Black Beetle's own stout is a recommended winter pick. There are also cold bottles of Stella Artois and Paulaner. The kitchen offers solid bar food in spinach-feta quesadillas, hummus plates, burgers, an open-faced tuna steak sandwich, salads and gooey brownie and ice cream desserts.
