Images of James Dean and Marilyn Monroe hang on the walls, and a mural of the Hollywood sign is splashed across the back wall. Cops, hippie kids and neighborhood beatniks dive into breakfast fare like omelettes, eggs, buttermilk pancakes and link sausage, burritos, enchiladas and more.

I've been going here for years, it's close to me, always open, but this last trip was my last. Waitress, an older lady, takes my order, I ask if my table could be "bussed" (i.e. wiped from last person there) "I have a busboy around here somewhere......" Table was never wiped. Lady pick up a rag and do it! This is the same waitress who will bring you your water with her hand around THE RIM of the glass! Soup was fine, club sandwich was fine, but I have to get up to get more water and to ask for dressing. Lazy biach never came by once EXCEPT to lay down the bill before I was even finished. Almost 9 bucks for that? I am never going back!

All I can say is DO NOt give them your business.Ester is a BOLD FACE LAIR,so if you ask what is good she might give you monkey poop.Also they have problems with the 40 + .In saying this maybe that is one of the reasons the wait staff walk around like they are bored.

Best used as a rendesvous spot at 3AM after a night drinking in Wicker Park, Hollywood Grill is your typical diner. The decor is old rock 'n' roll style, with teal and white checkers. Pictures of Marilyn Monroe and Elvis decorate the walls. The night staff is mostly 20-some-year-olds, at 5AM the angry grannies wait tables, and no one under the age of 50 seems to go there for lunch. The food is alright, selection is good. Ultimately if they found a better wait staff, I'd find better things to say. The reason for the good review- location, great for late night binges, early morning hangovers, and they're open late. Did I mention the joint is 24 hours?
