Editorial Review for Angelina Ristorante – by Valerie Moloney
In Short
It couldn't get any more romantic than at this Boys Town trattoria, a space that plays up intimacy with candlelight, faux antique gold walls, dramatic oil paintings and black-and-white photographs. At the rear, locals relax by a tiny bar lit by candles and a chandelier, a nice place to perch while waiting for a table. Wine bottles line a wooden in both dining rooms, where couples huddle over fresh, housemade pasta and rich dishes like osso buco and a boneless pork chop stuffed with prosciutto, fontina cheese and sage over a bed of creamy mashed potatoes.

Where to SitThe window seats are romantic, provided you're fairly slender (it's a tight squeeze and a tiny table). Otherwise, try to snag the table in the back of the first room, just to the right of the bar.

You truly could not get a better deal in all of Chicago for fantastic Italian food and a really cozy atmosphere! Tucked away on the corner of Broadway and Addison, this place is excellent for a nice, romantic dinner or even just a relaxing after work meal with friends. Make a point to try the pumpkin ravioli, which truly is out of this world. And, there is not a better dessert in this whole city than Angelina's tira misu! HUGE and absolutely scrumptious! Big two thumbs up for this place!
Pros: tira misu, all pastas!
Cons: better for small parties, not large groups.
